Far From Home Spider-Man: Far From Home General Discussion and Speculation - Part 2

Could it be the twist the director was talking about? The one Tom said would be divisive.
Jeez. I just wanted a fun time killer on the fourth of July. Don't really expect to blow my mind but if it does I can't complain

I like the convo between Peter and Beck. It feels like they're building them up as friends and giving Peter someone else he can look up to, a mentor, which if things go the way a lot of us strongly suspect, could hurt in the end.

Two times now we've heard about this movie blowing our minds. I like what I'm hearing and I want to hear more. 2 and a half hours to go roughly!

Not gonna watch those clips. I feel like there's too much already.

I feel like a lot of the Twitter reactions are hyperbole. I take them with a grain of salt... things like mind blowing or best ever.

Some fans do tend to overhype everything MCU :p

Or fans of anything. Pick any popular movie and someone, somewhere will accuse it of being over-hyped.

*Says a member on the HYPE*

They might be over hyping it, but what am getting from these people is that there is a twist. Now whether we'll like the twist is another question. I just hope it's as good as the Vulture's twist on Homecoming.

Being over-hyped or not will depend on the individual and how invested they are to begin with. If you are just looking to kill time, then the smallest thing may seem so. If you are in this thing 24/7, then the tiniest of details can be irrationally blown out of proportion.

The big takeaway for me is that people are expecting good things and interest is strong. Much more then I could have asked for considering where the franchise had been recently.

I WANT to watch those clips, but I also want to pay to see a movie that I haven't seen the key bits of...so I'll stay away. Amazing Spider-man 2 is still fresh in my mind.

1 hour!

I am not going to watch those clips either dont need to see any more before the movies comes out any way and with it being only like 2 week away we are close enough. I am going threw all the Spiderman movies again before far from home comes out. I watched Spiderman 1 two nights ago going to watch Spiderman 2 tonight/today. Any one else going threw all the spiderman movies again before this comes out? Will be interesting to see peoples reactions but like some people have said all movies first reactions seem to be good.

I got half way through it and was like, “Nope I gotta hold off!” But it has been tough. Hearing good tweets from some folks already.

I think that's me done with the thread till i see the film. Good luck guys.

So the post credit scene is probably going to setup the next phase. Bring it on.
