Playstation Spider-Man (PS4) - Part 3

The main thing for me is doing NYC justice outside of just Manhattan. Swinging across the bridges to explore Queens and/or Brooklyn is more important to me than taking Spidey to Europe, not that there isn't a lot of potential there, there is, but as far as new environments go, Queens is a huge part of the character's history, and should absolutely take priority over environments outside NYC. NYC is huge yet the only game I can think of that let us free roam beyond Manhattan was Ultimate.

Thanks for the answers. I was already under the impression that a change would not be welcomed for the most part, but I had to ask.I won't even dignify that with a proper answer.
No, I want to play a game where I have the power to swing all over the place and set in a location that does allow me to do that. New York is not the only place that allows that kind of traversal.

Chicago looks nice:

San Francisco:

Toronto:

London:

Frankfurt:

There are great places that could be explored, but it seems that there's a lot of resistence regarding this kind of change.

None of those cities are quite in the same league as New York City, though, when it comes to skyscrapers. If you compare the numbers of skyscrapers per city

NYC - 289

Chicago - 126

Toronto - 72

London - 30

San Fran - 25

Frankfurt - 15

It's quite a steep drop off after Chicago, and as someone who actually lives in Toronto, I can tell you it would be a bad choice. The towers generally aren't very tall, and are mostly condensed to a fairly small downtown core. And no real iconic buildings or architecture.

Chicago might work. Maybe Hong Kong, if you want to go more international.

Spidey can swing from buildings that are three stories or higher, he doesn't need skyscrappers to swing from.

I'd prefer it stay in New York. There's still a lot of NY to explore that can be added to future game maps. Forest Hills, Queens for example. Want to visit the original Parker house and Midtown High School.

Honestly, I would rather swing in New York than other states. Spider-Man 2 the Game took a page from Roger Stern's run on Amazing Spider-Man in stating "My playground".

But is that fun? Do you find yourself swinging at the first three floors of a building very often?
Personally speaking I do. I love swinging in Queens in Ultimate Spider-Man, and one of the reasons Treyarch's Spider-Man 3 is my favorite is the animation of walking while holding the webline mid low level swings, I'm glad they've kept that asset for Web of Shadows as well.

I got this for Xmas 2018 and don't ask me why, but I just wasn't able to get into it previously, despite being a huge Spidey fan.

But after finishing GoW recently and getting the platinum, I wanted something else to really dig into and decided to get stuck into this finally. I am enjoying it now, though finding it a little over hyped so far. I am only 20% in though so hopefully it gets better.

You will get more abilities and different gadgets so it does get better, but I thought it to be great from the first minute onwards already.

Cool thanks, I never disliked the game, just couldn’t get into it for whatever reason, don’t have that problem now though so looking forward to playing more.

I am further into it now and am enjoying it. But as a big Spidey fan I still don't think it's amazing, and I am finding it quite repetitive at parts.

It certainly has some fantastic moments though.

One thing I am curious about, this Miles Morales expansion we are getting. Do we still need to own this game to get it, or will it be its own thing on its own disc?

It will be a seperate game although I assume having beaten this one will fill in the story a bit..

Cool thanks, just done the first Miles section of the game it was quite emotional.

Never liked the character before but this game and the expansion may change that.

Aveit, really hope you enjoy your Spider-Man gaming experience, it really is an amazing game in my view.

Thanks Mandon, I have liked it so far, just not amazed by it yet. It’s certainly a triple AAA game, but it’s a bit repetitive for me.

Maybe I shouldn’t have played Spider-Man straight after God Of War, as I found that game amazing from top to bottom.

I love the dark suit so much I finished the game 100% from start to end wearing it.

Yeah, so this is weird. The redesign makes him look younger and takes away some of the placing as an older, out of high school Peter.

Even weirder is that the change is supposed to better accentuate the VA role and not because it looks more like Tom Holland. idk.

Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered detailed
This does bring us to one of the bigger changes. In order to bring the best performances to players with our next-generation Marvel’s Spider-Man games, we have recast the face of Peter Parker. We loved working with John Bubniak on the original game; however, to get a better match to Peter Parker/Spider-Man actor Yuri Lowenthal’s facial capture, we have cast Ben Jordan to be the face model for Peter Parker on the PS5 console. He looks incredible in-game, and Yuri’s moving performances take on a new life.
edit: Also...
That’s right, The Amazing Suit has arrived as one of three new suits in the game. It’s the perfect suit to wear as you attempt to earn the Platinum trophy in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Remastered.
