And I respect your opinion, even if I don't particularly agree with it.

And I applaud that. Maybe the new suit will grow on me.
On the gloves, I don't really see influences from the Ben Reilly suit other than having blue fingers, which the Ben Reilly suit only had two of. In fact, it almost seems like the inverse.

On the legs, I'll be glad if they change the shoes.

As for the webbing, I don't see it, but maybe I'm not looking at it the right way.

I don't see the suit as any more "realistic" than the traditional design.
I also think it raises the question: What place does realism have among teens with spider-powers and lizard men? What else would be changed to fit in this picture?

The webshooters alone give off a way more modern/futuristic feel, the textures of the suit give it the same type of look, the elongated spider again provides a more futuristic and modern look to the suit. What do you mean how so? Everything about it makes it look more current and if you can't see that, then it becomes even more frustrating trying to discuss this suit with you.

I personally don't mind if you want to explain things. I personally find scientific explorations of how Spidey's powers work rather interesting.

Well, here's the thing: it's a VFX footage and a lot of things may or may not end up being used and improved in the movie. In this reel they were red, but that's probably because of the need to make it easier for guy who created the whole sequence.

So, either they were red because it was easier to make and this isn't finished, or Sony is making the shoes red in the film.

EDIT: Considering they've made the shoes red in almost every promo picture since SDCC, I wouldn't be surprised if they were red in the film.

That's why I love them too. I just don't want it to be the latest bandwagon everyone jumps onto. Gritty realism can work for some characters, but not others.

And yet, if someone thinks otherwise? That's their prerogative. No need to get frustrated at someone because they don't see eye to eye with you on that. That type of stuff is completely subjective.
