I loved the original trilogy (well, not SM3), but I’m also looking forward to the reboot. The only “complaints” I have of the reboot so far are what we’ve seen of the lizard, and some of the design choices for Spidey’s suit.

Exactly. A lot of us fans loved the previous trilogy (and wanted a S-M4), so a lot of us were obvious going to approach this with cautious optimism. I mean, it is a reboot afterall.

Agreed. I was pretty happy with the Sam Raimi films (except SM3, which I don't think is as bad as people make it out to be), so I'm skeptical that the reboot can really top them.

That's going to be REALLY REALLY hard to do, IMO. I'm just hoping they can satisfy me just as much as the previous films did.

I respect your opinion about it being hard to top Raimi's films since you love them so much.

But for me, I really see no reason why it wouldn't be MUCH better so far. To me, everything so far looks and seems absolutely great with this reboot.

Anyway, the one thing I've heard that this film is getting right that the Raimi films got wrong is Spider-Man's sarcastic wit.
