The mechanical webshooters aren't nearly as essential to the origin as Spider-Man's wrestling.
I guess in your mind neither is Spider-Man trying to put Uncle Ben's killer behind bars, eh? Nothing seems to be essential to you. And Peter/Spider-Man NOT learning what was taught to him by his Uncle, not essential to you, eh?

Like I said godzilla...you could easily substitute wrestling match with a tv studio. Anything Pete does to get money.
The point is not the wrestling...it's the 'letting the burglar go'. That's the integral part of his origin.

What are you going on about?

The integral parts are "Peter uses powers for personal gain, meets a burglar at the venue, and lets Burglar go".

Yeah, and Spider-Man catching his killer and putting him behind bars or at least trying to do something that seems he gives a damn about what was done to his Uncle.

Exactly.
The specifics of said venue aren't really that important. Wrestling match, TV studio, Build a bear workshop, doesn't really matter as long as those story beats you mentioned are touched on :)

What exactly are you addressing here?

Precisely. In fact, in USM, the robber Peter lets go was robbing a fruit vendor and Peter lets him go because he was in a bad mood. It never even took place in the wrestling venue.

Agreed.

The ******** Sandman retcon from Spider-Man 3. I personally just ignore it and move on.

Didn't the burglar also rob the wrestling arena?

Our beloved Spider-Man letting the guy who killed his Uncle Ben go scott free. Have you not seen SM3?

It was a ******** retcon. Nothing more, nothing less. Get over it.

But the wrestling portion was still in USM, wasn't it?

No he didn't. Not in USM. Peter leaves the wrestling arena pissed off because he doesn't get paid correctly. He sees the vendor getting robbed, but doesn't give a **** because he's angry.

This scenario could play off of anything that puts Pete in a bad mood. It doesn't need to be the wrestling manager.

It was. They actually made more of a thing of it than in the 616 universe....but once again, it wasn't an integral part of the origin.
The only lasting thing that came from it was where he got the original idea for the costume.
But it's kind of comparing apples and oranges.

^Once again correct. It was there, but they could have left it out and it wouldn't have disturbed the origin at all.

Oh my God. For the THIRD time. The wrestling career has nothing to do with the origin besides his costume.

What the **** is your point?
That your beloved Sam Raimi screwed up the essentials of Spider-Man and his origin with Spider-Man 3. You did claim that he basically nailed the character, didn't you? I'm pointing out that is far from the truth. And you wonder why they need to tell the origin story again.

Do you own a dartboard with Sam Raimi's face on it? :
Seriously, you hate the first three movies. We get it.

Do you own a dartboard with Sam Raimi's face on it? .

I do! Although you can't really make out that it's his face anymore. After Spider-Man 3 I went insane and through darts at it for a month straight and it got pretty ****ed up. All of that pure rage I had kept me alive for the month.
