The webshooters is nice, and obviously better than organic webbing crap. The black stitching is better.

Besides that, Raimi's suit is better. ALTHOUGH, I still like the new suit.

I gotta say, the Raimi suit is better. That said, this is a pretty slick suit. I like the way the lowered black webbing and the more curved eyes better. And the web-shooters, those are cool.

If it used the same material that it does but used the classic design, then this would be the superior suit, but as is, Raimi's suit reigns supreme.

i don't see why ppl are completely bashing the idea of the armpit webbing. if they can find a way to make Spidey's costume look extremely cool and not like a cheap Halloween costume obviously they could find a way to make under arm webbing look great. i personally love under arm webbing on Spidey's suit, i think it gives it character, a unique look.

I'm a fan of the under arm webbing as well, but I don't think it, in any type of way, can look great or even decent on screen.

I should have realized that not everyone talks the way I do. Haters gonna hate =/= Literal hating on something, at least the way me and my friends use it.

And I never said I didn't like the suit from the comics. I just like this one more.

Again, no one literally said they hated your comment, only disagreed. There's a difference between hatred and disagreement. Or, at least that's what me and my friends think.

But to say it's better than Raimi's, a suit that is the better comic-book adapted is just like saying you wouldn't care to even have a comic-book inspired look as Raimi.

It's best to use 'in my opinion' or 'imo' for anything that would cause some kind of argument or sorts on these boards, and that's what I've learned myself. But, if anything, perhaps adding that in may have caused less people to laugh at that comment. I mean...to only say it's better than that suit sounds egotistical but also sounds like you're the one hating Raimi's suit and just saying that in spite.

I actually like the new suit better. The more I compare suits, the more Raimi's suit appears tacky, for the lack of a better word. Sure, Raimi's suit is obviously a much closer adaptation to the comic book suit but that's not my point. My point is that within the overall aesthetics and tone of the suits, I prefer the new suit.

Well, the thing is, while Raimi's is clearly more comic accurate, that doesn't mean it's better. It might make it better for you, but we're talking about a purely visual medium here, so accuracy to the source material isn't always a factor.

For a very long time, I preferred the all black Bat-suits of the Bat-films to the grey and black of the comic (or blue and gray, I still don't like that look). I liked the Ultimate Captain America WWII suit and the movie Captain America WWII suit better then the actual WWII suit he wore in the comics as well.

It's all personal choice. As far as the Spidey suits go, I don't really have a problem with this one. I wasn't a huge fan at first, but seeing more official pics I like it more. I'm a fan of the darker colors, but then, I always have been. I actually liked the black suited spidey (comic version) more then his original costume for a while.

I'm okay with variations as long as they remain true to the original design. However, I do kind of wish they had made it the Reily suit, since it seems to be drawing some major inspirations from that one to begin with.
