The Amazing Spider-Man Spider-Man Reboot Costume Part 4 - "What's that in his eye??" - Part 6

I'll stick with the judgement of the co-creator and what I think looks cool over J. Random Internet, thanks.

And more power to you. Did I say that you should think it looks bad? No. I'm just saying what I think.

Personally, when I think "Spider-Man" I don't think "old-school".
I said the emblem was old-school.

It's a circle with eight legs. I wouldn't exactly call that design "new age."

And I was saying that I think it looks out of place as a result.

My favorite back spider is the Spider-Man version. It fills up the back area very nicely, and it's a shame it was dumped for the sequels.

So you've always disliked Spidey's traditional back emblem?

Different strokes, I suppose.

It looks more like a tick than a spider. It's fine for the 60s, but I think it's time for it to be updated.

heres my current opinion on the costume: It would've been nicer if they would've went with a little more classic look to please some of the fans. Right now I have noticed that majority likes this new costume, but there is still a lot of haters.

I love the current costume, but this design was a huge risk for such an unstable reboot, so they should've gone with something safer. I doubt that all you other people who love the new costume would've minded a more close to classic approache so that would've made everyone happy

Yeah, because no artist ever improves on those original designs.

Some examples would be...
-Wolverine's whiskers
-Batman's purple gloves
-Iceman's snow form
-Green Lantern's Dracula cape

I'm sure I could find more, but I think you get my point.

I dunno man. Personally I think the suit is perfect as it is right now.

Did someone say.....

me too, I'm just saying that it would have helped the film if it would have the classic design, it would be way more popular now. But as the second trailer was only the first thing that makes the general audience believe in this film and they probably got a lot of treats for us left, it will most likely get gradually more and more popular from here

The costume isn't a problem with the general audience, just the comic purists. I doubt the general audience will hardly notice the difference.

I don't know about you guys but I think that considering Spidey's suit gets torn to **** in his battle with The Lizard, there's a high chance that the suit will be redesigned considering Peter will have to rebuild it anyways.

That would be a nice excuse as to why he has a new suit in the sequel, (He will...trust me.) but I don't think they had that in mind when making the movie. ;)

This.

Although some of my friends have noticed the changes ("This costume looks darker", "Are the eyes black?", etc)... I haven't heard any complaints so far. Hell, my girlfriend thinks it looks cooler. :D

Dump her.

Troy, you hacker, what have you done :P? Every one of your posts a couple of pages back has this weird little artifact in the upper left corner:

That's my hope.
