The Amazing Spider-Man Spider-Man Reboot Costume Part 4 - "What's that in his eye??" - Part 6

I don't believe they could force him to join the military.

I don't think they'd have to force him. If this Peter Parker is willing to join the police, why wouldn't he be willing to join the military?

No. If you find a pimp, beat the living **** out of him, and leave him in front of police headquarters, he'll go free, and the police will go after you.

When has Spider-Man ever done that?

Spider-Man is a vigilante, violating criminal's civil rights. There would be repercussions.

And there have been in the books. He has been wanted by the police numerous times. That's where the Secret Identity bit comes in handy.

See, that's another point against him being a cop: How many thugs would cry foul that he used excessive force on them? Get their cases thrown out as they had been beaten up by a guy with Super Strength? How long before someone he takes down sues him for every dime he has for the damages that strength inflicted? Doc Ock could have a case right now.

Now that I see it in action the new suit actually looks nearly perfect. Plus Garfield's thin, cut build works better than Toby's bulkiness did.

When has Spider-Man ever done that?

There's set pics of the car theif/supposedly Ben's killer hanging from a web with a super-mega-wedgie in front of the police station and Stacy and some cops walking up to him.

I hope someone can answer this....I haven't gotten a chance to look at the suit's bottom half that much, so I'm wondering...is there some kind of webbing pattern on his belt and leg stripes or no?

Meh. I think the leg stripes would look worse if they had a web pattern. The half belt I think wouldn't look too bad with a pattern on it, but then the leg stripe would look weird.

The suit looks fine as it is for me.

See, but I always assumed they added the leg stripes for some kind of continuity since the arms have stripes as well. But to have some kind of pattern on the boots, but just plain red for the stripes and belt, it seems odd. I still love the suit and how it looks on screen such as the trailer, but having some red with no such pattern is a little disappointing to me.

The stripe on the leg continues down onto the pattern on the boots.

So why did they bother to have some kind of webbing or what people would call "globe lines"(:whatever:) on the boots?

Sure is puzzling me now. In all honesty, with having no real pattern on the bottom half, I would've been fine if the red boots didn't have a pattern.

Wonder how much hate I will get over that, hah.

I just think that if the boots didn't have SOME sort of pattern on them they'd look too plain. The half-web, half-striped pattern works for me more than just a blank pattern.

No webbing, but black lines running through them, which makes me feel better

The suit looks even worst now that i've seen the trailer. The movie looks like it might actaully be good, but i can't help feeling how great it would have been if they actually made a suit more like the Kirby design, i.e fat spider on back, and arm pit webbing....

Nah, I think this suit looks like it actually works well with the tone and vibe of this movie. The classic design? probably not so much.

I only wish it would look more the classic suit, as in not having lines on the legs, but instead around the waist. And no blue gloves. I do love the comic design, I really do. But I have to admit that it didn't make sense that the Spider on the back didn't look like an actual Spider.

Steve Ditko designed Spidey's iconic suit. From the sounds of the original stuff Kirby did before Ditko was brought aboard; Spidey's design would have been utterly generic under Kirby and he had a gun that shot web. :down
