Yep. Big action films are the biggest successes worldwide. That doesn't mean that a film can't be good and have some intelligence but you got to have certain amount of spectacle in your film these days.Considering how the last one made more money than any of the other movies I don't see Paramount changing how it does things
Yeah the originals were better.Ok upon closer inspection, I really dont like those new Starfleet shirts at all.
A lot better.Yeah the originals were better.

More of a plan then DC.#ParamountHasNoPlan

I happen to love the original costumes from the 2009-2013 films so it is disappointing that these new ones are much worse. Now I still do love the jacket ensemble or what have you that is being worn but the regular costumes are a hard pass.
It just looks so stiff and uptight. Like the s***ty uniforms they gave the TOS crew to wear in the movies, except these aren't red and white turtlenecks.![]()
Hard for me to have an opinion on the shirt based solely on that kind of bad picture.
Not too fond of the high collar on the uniforms either. I prefer the V neck as well.
I don't mind some action but I would like it to have more allegory and to be more intelligent this time round. Bring back some of those aspects which were present in the original series, which wasn't weighed down by technobable either.
Yeah, I get the space PJ jokes, but I too was a big fan of the uniforms from the first two films.I happen to love the original costumes from the 2009-2013 films so it is disappointing that these new ones are much worse. Now I still do love the jacket ensemble or what have you that is being worn but the regular costumes are a hard pass.
The next Star Trek sequel has been pushed back two weeks by Paramount, the studio said Thursday.
The film is now set for a July 22, 2016 release, a date that also includes Fox's next Ice Age sequel and Warner Bros.' King Arthur.
There is allegory in the new movies....Star Trek Into Darkness is an allegory on the war on terror
And poorly done at that. A pale reflection of similar explorations of the idea on DS9 and BSG.
