The fan did get to see it.... Nice, in a very sad sort of way.

Everyone loves him from Sherlock. The average person has no idea who he is. Personally I like him though he is definitely not the reason I will be seeing this, not even close.
The second season is even better than the first. It certainly won't be mine, either. I'm not that keen on him myself. I enjoyed the first season of Sherlock, but not enough to watch the second series. I saw him in Frankenstein and he was good, but his performance didn't stand out compared to others, and in anything else I might have seen him in I never felt he brought anything to the films that indicate to me that they'd be worse if he wasn't there.
He's not bad, but I get the impression he's the next actor to be that "in thing" at the moment, something I could never jump onto myself.

The 3D in the nine minute preview was excellent. More so when you take into account it is post converted.
I've heard nothing but great things about Sherlock and Cumberbatch. I'm really interested now.

With Earth under terrorist attack from Benedict Cumberbatch's ex-Starfleet employee John Harrison, Kirk is this time forced into a rash decision that breaks a critical Starfleet command, puts his crew in danger & costs him his captain's chair. Now out of uniform and dressed down in space civvies of black leather jackets and boots, our three heroes have separated from the Enterprise and headed off on a mission to try and rectify his mistake...
I wonder if the rule he broke was saving Spock at the beginning?
Something real bad must happen then. Because Data broke the Prime Directive in Pen Pals, and got a scolding/mark on his record, but not expelled. I assume Kirk does something extremely foolish ontop of it.
I read that he risks the whole crew saving Spock and that it was a violation of the Prime Directive so that could definitely be the reason he is forced out of Starfleet.
