Yeah, it's pretty awesome. AOTC gets slammed a lot, but it has a lot of great action scenes. I dont think i've enjoyed a cinematic experience as much as i enjoyed watching SW, especially ROTS. I skipped work for all of the PT and ended up in the fist showing (we dont have midnight showings sadly) with a bunch of geeks like myself. A lot of them were even dressed in costumes and believe me, that's something i dont see here at all. 20th Fox fanfare and cheers... lucasfilm logo with everyone going quiet... a long time ago in a galaxy far, far, away... scroll starts and people go insane... Aahh memories :awesome:

Sounds like a great time Bim. :D I've never seen anyone in costume whe I've been to see a Star Wars movie, but I've seen the stuff on TV where fans lined up over night for tickets for popular fanatasy and sci things, all dressed up in the costumes, dedicated lot lol.

There's one thing that, maybe people have spoken about it but I've never seen a discussion about it, that I love about Attack of the Clones and that is that is feels like one big mystery, detective movie in the Star Wars universe. Some of my favourite parts are Obi-Wan trying to find out about Jango and finding Kamino. I'd have loved to have seen more of that.

This is why AOTC's is my favourite prequel, the attempted hit on Padme leading into the amazing airspeeder chase across Coruscant, the quick scene in the bar which is a nod to ANH. Then Obi Wan off to track down Jango and unravel the mystery and we see Palpatines plan to create the clone army and trick the senate into using it, which also gives us a great orgini for the Storm Troopers, plus the great Obi Wan/Jango battle both one on one and in their ships, and the awesome battle in the arena/Genosia to cap it all off.

One day, I'll be able to say "This party's over!" in some sort of social atmosphere.

If someone says "Welcome to the party" a bit earlier it will be like a Die Hard with a Vengeance reunion. :D

STAR WARS: THE COMPLETE SAGA

Summary: This video game covers all six episodes. The Jedi levels are Force Unleashed inspired. The shooter levels are Halo-inspired, with the ability to switch from third person to first person. The starfighter levels are Rogue Squadron inspired. Puzzle levels are included for droid characters (for example, trying to repair the hyperdrive on a spaceship or stopping the garbage mashers.)

What do you think?

I'd love a game that covered the saga with all that variety of gameplay, it reminds me a bit of the old Super Star Wars games on the SNES that covered the OT.

All I want now is Republic Commando 2 and Battlefront III. I don't really have faith any more that we'll ever get BFIII... not for a long time, anyway.

Was that Xbox game where you control a 4 man squad of Storm Troopers?

Another one from Disneyland:

:lmao:

This is only a cheapy but I'm tempted to buy it. :D

Why is there no video game yet for the Thrawn trilogy anyone?

Indeed lol. I'm a big fan, but it never occurred to me to dress up :o

I've seen people dressed up at the midnight shows for the prequels, but I haven't dressed up in a Star Wars costume since I was 5 - and that was for Halloween!

Is that darth maul?

Yes, on his Sith speeder bike, I always thought they missed an opportunity to have Qui Gon be on a speeder bike as well when they travel into the town on Tatooine. When Maul attacks the on the way back they could have dueled while on the bikes as the rest on their bikes got Padme back to the ship.

Heh! If you did who would you go as? and no, I am not suggesting Slave Leia. :funny:

:wow::wow::wow::wow: How much is this?

Probably can get it for like under $150 on Ebay.

A Shadows of the Empire remake with todays technology in video games would be great

SOTE, GoldenEye, and Mario Bros. 3 were the most I've ever been addicted to games...

Slave Leia? no way in hell lol maybe in my 20's if i had gotten drunk enough, but now? nuh huh. Hmmm gee, i dunno who i would dress up as! Maybe Chewbacca, although living here in the tropics i'd probably pass out due to heat exhaustion :hehe:. Ok, maybe a handmaiden, just so i can conceal my identity a bit :oldrazz: or a bad@ss female jedi, like Shaak Ti! yeah, i'll stop mumbling and say Shaak Ti :awesome:

Yeah, man. The only problem with the film is the romance. But even that, for me at least, isn't that bad. At least it's cut up and we get to see Obi-Wan's investigation and some great action sequences.

The soundtrack is a little eerie as well, and fits the mystery well. I also love the look of Coruscant, too. I was so glad they showed as much as they did in this, and I have to admit a little disappointed we didn't see a little more, or even more of the Clone War.

Bim actually mentioned before, but I've been ill and I couldn't reply, about Revenge of the Sith the trailer showing the Wookies and honestly, and don't get me wrong I do enjoy Revenge of the Sith as well, I was disappointed we didn't see more of that or more of the Clone War overall. This big war that Yoda made a point of bringing to our attention again ("Begun, the Clone War has." - Cue awesome scene!), and we got little bits. I know it's Anakin's fall and more of his and Obi-Wan's story at that point, but the film a little longer and some more or the war, especially Kashyyyk (and my second favourite planet Mygeeto >->) and it would have been awesome. In my opinion, of course.

Casual scenes might not have fit like they did in Attack of the Clones, I suppose.

But yeah, put the romance aside and focus on the mystery and Obi-Wan's investigation, the music, the look and atmosphere of Coruscant at the start of the film and that great scene with Yoda, the Younglings and Obi-Wan looking for a missing planet and it's a thrill to watch. :yay:

Sorry if I went on a bit.

Well, came back from Disneyland today......and Star Tours was cool...4 times and each time had something different........Disney got some of my hard earned cash too...had to buy a Yoda backpack, an R2D2 souvenir cup, and a Imperial themed pin set.........ok I was selfish, I chose myself over my fam's bills......I'll try to put some pics up...

...waiting in the line was fun too, got some pics of a Stormtrooper going through the line...saw the end of the Jedi Academy the little bit I saw was cool...and the lil kids in jedi robes were adorable! ;)

I was just flipping through some clone wars episodes at random and was watching "Voyage of Temptation" from season 2 and I just wanted to share how much I love that episode. Especially the scene when Senator Merrick is stabbed by Anakin when Obi-Wan and Satine are in a pickle and can't kill him.

"Who will strike first and brand themselves a cold blooded killer?" Then Anakins blade comes through his chest and you hear that soft melody of the Imperial March. So beautiful, and haunting. What a wonderful scene.

You do realize that any geek girl who dresses up as Slave Leia will automatically be lusted after by male Star Wars fans. It doesn't matter what you look like. That bikini puts a spell on men.

It's actually CLONE COMMANDOS and yes, it's an Xbox game.

Eh, they eventually became Imperial Commandos... so EVERYONE'S RIGHT! *gives cookies to everyone*

I'd KILL for an episode in Clone Wars about Delta Squad...or even Omega Squad from the books.

You know what?

I just noticed this now: every time a Star Wars article appears on **************.com, the people are always bashing the prequels. Even if the articles aren't about the prequels, they'll still bash it.

At least when you guys don't like the prequels, you guys act in a civilized manner!

The last time I was at Disneyland, one of the kids in the Jedi Academy was fighting Darth Vader wearing Jedi robes and a Pluto hat. :funny:

Can't wait to go on the new Star Tours. It sounds great!

Picturing that in my head, i wish i saw that.
I've been playing in one of those online strategy games where we control a village and for fun there's a forum to talk about we all like and when i put a picture of the original star wars and asked if anybody liked it, most never saw it. And one said Star Wars is gay, most of the players are around 12-18 and i don't think this was a good sign:csad:

Went on Star Tours 4 times when I was at Hollywood Studios. I think I missed a couple of variant segments. But I saw all the planets.

Then most of them are probably sheltered idiots.

Hellion: sounds like u had urself some fun! I hope i get to it eventually; i need to start planning a trip with my next vacation time.

DCW: yeah, that's a cool moment, although it kinda surprised me when i first saw it, was a bit brutal lol

:funny: i dont think i want a bunch of fanboys perving over me like that. I could have rocked it in my 20's but i wouldnt punish them with that now lol. I'd show a pic of me back then, but the oldest one i have at hand in my photobucket i'm 31. I\ve never posted my picture in the forum before though, and that would totally blow my cover hahaha.

It should be a crime when a parent doesnt introduce their child to SW when they're little. I'm biding my time with my niece cause she just turned one, but that's coming ;)

My friend's son is 7, and he loves Star Wars. His mother (who I've been friends with since we were 12), hates Star Wars and seems annoyed that she has to deal with it. My mom had laughed over it because she remembers how crazy I was about it at the same age, and my friend asked her how she "dealt" with it, like it was a disease she had to put up with. My mom told her to just enjoy it, since it makes him happy and it's not hurting anyone, and she reminded her that before she knows it, he'll have outgrown it and she'll realize that she misses those days.

My mom is awesome.
