The Force Awakens Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens Trailer #1 Discussion - Part 1

So I gotta download to get a retort? No thanks.

Also, Rich Evans reaction video to the teaser is up now. Priceless.

Well, like I've said, if you've already placed RLM in a pedestal, because it seems like you didn't even bother to check out the link as its file size is only at 1MB.

I think I like the audio commentary one the best.

Size matters not. But I don't download stuff for safety's sake. And RLM's take is just humorous at this point. There's no pedestal here.

That is the most insane George Lucas impression I've ever heard.

Insane good or insane bad? I think he's spot on, and frankly, being an amateur impressionist myself, I have to give the dude props.

Insane good of course. It's uncanny.

I think George is a bit trickier to do WELL than most think. To high, you get into Kermit the Frog territory. To low and you are doing Lt. Jim Dangle from RENO 911.

The Jeff Goldblum/JW commentary is top notch too.

That impression is really good. His Jeff Goldblum is epic too.

Can Grammy's be given for voiceovers? If so, give one to Serkis. That's the best vocal performance of the quote "The Dark Side..." I have heard since 1977.

And I wasn't even here in 1977.

I don't know. The whole voice over sounded kind of forced to me. No pun intended....:woot:

I always found it funny how Obi Wan when to such trouble to hide Luke from his father, yet he never thought it might be a good idea to give him a different last name. Then again, Obi-Wan ALSO kept using his real last name.

Dumbass.

Lol

Best Lucas impersonation I've ever heard. LOL

I miss George and his vision. I am still trying to get over the fact he has no involvement at all. I mean couldn't they at least give him a creative consultant title?

Lucas is probably less involved than some would like to think. His focus is retirement. A phone call here and a set visit there at the most probably is the extent of his involvement.

George's ideas are horrible. He had one good movie - American graffiti. He had one very good movie that went big because of the innovative use of special fx (ANH), and one amazing classic that he didn't direct. (ESB)
After that, age seems to hav taken the last small bit of talent as he basically sat back and cashed in for 20 years. His shenanigans nearly ruined the franchise forever with the prequels. If gl were involved with this movie, I'd have nothing to do with it. I've given that man enough of my money.

He was also heavily involved with the creation Indiana Jones, and he also had a hand in some other fun LucasFilm movies, such as Willow. I think what ruined him was not Directing for some 20+ years, that made him lazier and lazier, from what they say about him in his youth, he was always a little lazy when younger, but his passion for bringing his projects to life was what got him ending up so overworked during the 70s. It seems like the troubles in Star Wars were what made him quit Directing for so much time. I think he wasted a long time of his younger years only Producing stuff, there were aparently so many interesting ideas of his that never saw the light of day, now he's too old to do much, and has lost part of his passion.

Oh you people and your hyperbolic hatred of Lucas are ridiculous.
