I love this pic.

So happy to come here for the first time and see Cassus Fett referenced! :awesome:

Did you read the books he was in Rag?

Lucas says that Fett's escape is canon. He's said multiple time that his biggest mistake with the OT was killing off the money maker known as Boba Fett.

Strange that he then went and did the same thing again with Maul.

I'm honestly surprised he hasn't fixed that yet. I mean, he does love to change the original Trilogy doesn't he? Actually, I always wanted to know, how many changes are in the blu-ray version of the Movies and is there a way to watch them in their original theatrical cut? My friend told me that they used Hayden Christensen, to show up as Anakin's ghost, and I think that just sucks.

That change was made with the boxset + Special features DVD release of the OT.

Btw, is this supposed to be canon too?

Tell me Vader force chocked the **** out of him in the next panel.

I don't know if it's cannon but force choke is useless on Boba Fett, while Vader is concentrating on that Fett could fire off any of his weapons. Force choke and the Jedi mind trick are for use on weaker individuals, not warriors.

im not sure if force choke can be resisted by strong minded individuals...has nothing to do with the mind...where as hypnotizing someone does

and Vader's ability to use the force quickly in the heat of a fight is proven in the Bespin scene where Han is shooting at him...he quickly deflects the blasts and then grabs the blaster...if Fett can move faster than a blaster bolt then yeah but I don't see that happening

This is from Star Wars Tales. Some of their stories are canonical, some are not.

Not actually, I remember something continuing this idea but then ROTS kinda stepped all over it. Dooku force chokes Obi Wan.

I always found the Maul/Vader fight odd and I'm interested in how Clone Wars is going to see if they're going to allude to this happening in seen canon.

I liked the Dooku/Maul fight, I don't consider it Canon but almost anything with Dooku is fine by me

Laughter "If I had known Boba Fett was going to be so popular I wouldn't have killed him off"

I don't think he's actually confirmed Fett into canon. I absolutely could be wrong about this but as far as I remember he came close to saying he wouldn't have done it again if he had the chance but, knowing Lucas if he wanted it canon wouldn't he have added it to ROTJ?

Since when did Dooku fight Maul?

Since when did Dooku fight Maul?

i'm not going to lie, I've been REALLY rusty with MY EU stuff lately but, If I remembering correctly in happens in one of the novels written where, Dooku goes through a sort of Sith Rites of Passage and the final test is some Sith spirit of Darth Maul

EDIt: You know what...I may be thinking of a very well written fanfiction now that I think of it

LOL do it! i want to see it now :oldrazz:

I never heard of Lucas saying Fett's escape was canon either, but then again i dont get the Boba love and dont really keep up much with stuff about him

Bim, you clearly need to listen to Fett's Vette by MC Chris.

Vader force choked Fett during their "Enemy of the Empire" duel. Force choke works on anybody.

But stronger individuals will be able to resist it well enough to create a diversion and run away, which is what Boba Fett does in that very same story.

Unless you can wield the force yourself, I think it's stupid that any strong individual could resist it. Isn't a force choke basically a telekinetic attack? How the heck do you resist that?

I always thought anyone could be force choked? Perhaps it's from those Jedi Knight video games all those years ago. But it's not hard to imagine that even Jedi can be force choked. Especially a Sith doing it to a Jedi.

Since we're talking about the Fetts, I got a pop quiz for ya:

Name five Mandalorians, male or female, that are not members of Clan Fett.

I admit, i had to look it up. WTH :lmao:

I agree with Doctor Jones, i thought anyone could be forced choked, even the jedi.

Well i dunno much about mandos, Optimus :O

Well maybe everyone can get force-choked, but lets say that Boba knows about it and is prepared then it's more likely he would be able to attack his opponent at the same time as he's being choked. Whereas some regular joe might just stand there gasping for air, clueless about the whole situation.
