Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II

Okay, so I take it back.

It seems the Force Unleashed games will be a hella lot better than the prequel trilogy combined.

That's not difficult. :cwink:

Hopefully this game is tighter, the first one was sort of underwhelming despite the hype behind it.

Another (small) update at the official site. If you wait for a while, it looks like there's a lightsaber fight inside the cave.

Kiddie Jokes and Characters? You say that like thats exclusive to the prequels. What about the ewoks?C-threepio?

When it comes to the original trilogy, it's easy for one to let the Ewoks and C-3PO pass you in regards to "child's play" just because it's a series of films in the late 70s early 80s...films from back then were all about immature one-liners and stupid characters. But, with the prequel trilogy, Lucas should've gone dark tenfold because this is meant as the rising of the Sith and Darth Vader himself. It's idiotic to have a Jar-Jar Binks character prancing around when no one gives a **** about him(and for us to not get the satisfaction of his death). And also, you can bring up a valuable point by saying that Lucas wanted to one-up himself with Ewoks by having Jar-Jar Binks in the trilogy. With is stupid, and only re-hashing a character to fit in the times of the prequel.

But, that's just my opinion. The original trilogy, I have zero complaints on. It's when it comes to the prequel trilogy, I do have a lot of complaints about.

Don't forget whiny Luke in ANH.

Nothing comes close to Anakin whining.

Proxy had better be back gall dernnit.

I'm all for that, especially if we get another simulation against Darth Maul.

That's not difficult. :cwink:

Actually, for the first game, it was a bit difficult. I enjoyed a lot of elements to the first installment, but this game just seems like it'll be 100% more intense with the possible addition of Yoda. Anything Yoda is in can be gold, imo. One reason why the prequel trilogy did so well, as we got a fighting and even more baddass Yoda. And also, we were given the enjoyment of Liam Neeson as a Jedi.

Darth Vader sends his pupil to track down and kill Yoda.

But Yoda kicks his ass and then teaches him to harness that bad energy into good.

Now if only we get an expanded pack where Yoda ends up killing Vader's pupil and we get to play as Yoda as he tracks Vader and the entire Empire down himself and destroys it all.

That would be a Godsend.

I don't think Starkiller is still Vader's apprentice. Unless he lost his memory or Vader cloned him. It will be interesting to see what happens with Starkiller and Yoda. I'd also like it if he met Obi-Wan.

Looks like the first level of the game will be on Kamino :cwink:.

It's from a French magazine. Hopefully when GamePro is released we'll get scans so we can read all the details.

I hope this game is great, the first one was great story wise but the gameplay could be a little "looser". kinda like how prototype was. I wonder how he survived though and will this be a chase type of story where vader is hunting him down with the use other other sith apprentices? or even bounty hunters like boba?

According to the translated page, Darth Vader has Starkiller cloned in TFU2 (hence why Kamino is the first level). When he learns the truth (coupled with having memories that he hasn't lived), he flees in search of Juno Eclipse. He'll need General Kota's help as well.

Cato Neimoidia is the planet featured in the teaser trailer with the giant arena and Murloch (that giant beast).

I'm guessing that Yoda will also play a prominent part in the game. His voice is featured in the trailer and Dagobah is currently the background for unleashed2010.com

Not surprising though, after the whole Clone Wars deal.

Really looking forward to this game. A few gameplay tweaks from the first game and it should be great.

Hm so this dudes a clone, but is having memories from the actual Starkiller? Hm, could be pretty cool.

Well I really like that story, since it doens't mess up the bitter sweet ending of the first game.

I love that Kota and Juno should be making a return to the story.

Although I think I have predicted that both Starkiller and Kota (and possibly Juno) will end up dieing by the end.

now Im just spit balling here but can you clone a jedi and have that clone be able to have force powers? especially one thats dead? I dont see how that is possible. Maybe they expalin this better but it sounds lame to think vader would clone someone who tried to kill him and still let him inheret all the same memories in an attempt to get a new apprentice.

Not apprentice....Pawn, that's all Starkiller was in the first game.

Vader was using him until he could find his son and turn him to the dark side to become his true apprentice.

Hmmm....so a clone.I guess that isn't that bad.Although I question why Vader would clone Starkiller.

Clones gain a little bit of credibility when the universe is filled with them. It would be incredible if towards the end Starkiller fuses with his force-ghost to regain all his memories. That'd be kinda epic. Of course, there's also now the obligatory evil clone (or good clone, if you go that way).

Not bad. Beats the heck out of him surviving/nursed back to health AGAIN.

Also hilarious "le premier hip-hop Jedi"

Because Galen Marek is one of the most powerful Jedi to have ever lived. Vader is thinking if he can use him to his advantage, nothing will stop him. These evil characters never think of the consequences. Its like Luke when he told Palpatine that his over confidence would be his down fall. Thats what always bring these sith down, they're too damn short sighted.

Even though i'm not feeling the whole CLone thing, I still think its gonna be Bad-ass using 2 lightsabers. I cant wait for this to come out.

Through the broken English of the translation from the French site, it can be deciphered that SW:TFU2 will feature fewer, more powerful enemies with "better defined attacks".

But probably the biggest bomb dropped in this bit of information is the inclusion of a multiplayer mode. Sounds like players will finally get the chance to wield nearly unlimited force powers in battles against their friends, which seems incredibly promising.

I still want better saber to saber combat. Thats all i ask for.

Heck even if most of the combat stayed the same, but had a well written story and more enemies to slice in half with some new/improved force abilities....I'd be happy.

But then again I enjoyed the first game more than many did.

Oh, and better load times. :p
