It's not so much that Lucas has a hard time developing characters because he's actually pretty damn good at that. I don't think he was expecting the popularity of some background character to explode like the way it did.

Who could expect one of the most pathetic, dead (at the time he was) characters in the OT to get a cult following?

boba fett was NOT a badass in the original trilogy even if he was meant to be. Maybe they made him cool after that, but most people dont know about it.

I never really understood why Star Wars fan of the original trilogy were so in love with Fett. He was eye catching on screen because he wore a real cool armor suit. In the OT though however he really didn't do anything worthy of the bad ass title.

I love Boba Fett, Lucas wasted him in ROTJ but since this isn't 1983 I'm not gonna worry about it now. so I take it in this game he is not playable, he just chases the Sam Worthington looking Jedi/Sith guy around?

Mind you from the trailer I saw I can't see what Vader hopes Fett can do as this Starkiller guy seems to have insane powers, makes it even stranger that Vader thought the Storm Troopers could kill him, unless he wanted to let him go ala Han and co escaping the Death Star in ANH.

When did this become a thread of Boba Fett hate? Is hating Fett the "cool" thing to do since so many people really like the character? Because that's what it seems like...

So people like him, saying he's lame, stupid or whatever isn't going to change the minds of anyone that likes the guy.

George Lucas created Boba Fett, the expanded universe and the talented writers that took up Star Wars lore afterward MADE Boba Fett what he is today. The amount of fans Boba has rivals Vader....I'd say tops Vader now more so since the prequels.

Maybe rivals Han Solo.

. Starkiller is being played by Sam Witwer.

Anyway...Boba Fett won't be playable. Maybe as a skin/costume (he'd play exactly like Starkiller). Vader wants Starkiller brought to him. He doesn't want Boba Fett to kill him. As for how Starkiller escaped...Either Vader was stupid, or he let him escape hoping he'd go after the Rebels. His escape could also be different in the game from the cinematic trailer.

Alot of people feel the same way about Grievous as they do Fett. I mean your given a character that looks badass and they end up looking weak in the movie. It's a shame Boba and Grievous were given awesome looks but both were kinda a let down when it came to just owning everyone.

It's no shocker to me. Look how they portrayed Anakin... If They can do that to the guy the 'whole saga is all about', they're not gonna pull out the stops for others.

Isn't there some kind of Multiplayer mode in this game? Maybe Fett, Vader and the other main characters are playable on some multiplayer mode.

Nope sorry, this is a single-player game. But maybe we can have skins like in the first one so we can play as different characters.

I don't know why but when I read those comments from the game creators that Boba Fett would have his own character arc in the game (they said he would start at one point and end up at another emotionally or something along those lines), I can't help thinking that the story will reveal to us why Vader felt he had to add that "no disintegration" line when he offered the reward for the Millenium Falcon in ESB.

There's nothing to back this up of course, and it may just be wishful thinking (I'm dying to see Boba Fett blow stuff up) but considering the guys in charge of developing canon-expanded universe material always feel like they have to link every single thing to some line or event from the movies makes me think so...

Anyway, can't wait for the game...

Wow.He was really the driving force behind these games.I wonder what would have prompted him to leave.He spoke recently as if he wanted to make TFU a trilogy.

I'm DEFINITELY in the minority here, but I liked the cowardly Grievous. He's better as a badass, but there's something about him being so badass but always retreating that I like. I also love his voice.

Grievous is like the classic pro-wrestling heel. He's one bad dude when he wants to be...but he's NOT above running away, or throwing someone else to the wolves so he can make an escape.
