Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II

This sucks. This means we will probably never get Battlefront 3 either.:csad:

Yea its a safe bet that if Lucasarts biggest selling franchise ever doesn't get a sequel, then BF3 sure wont see the light of day any time soon.

i'd be down for revamped versions of the Star Wars games that came out on the SNES

those were awesome

I hope that "canceling of the FUIII" thing is BS. Lucas himself gets a profit from these games, right? He's working closely with the writing teams to fit the story into the Star Wars Universe, correct?

I really, really don't see HIM being ok with this decision, I mean, TFU was the biggest selling Star Wars game of all time...unless he has NO pull at all within Lucasarts...which would just be...odd...

This new head is a buttpirate.

No Force Unleashed 3 or Battlefront 3? Sequels to the 2 highest selling Star Wars games....IS HE ALLERGIC TO MONEY!?

So the only big thing about the Collectors Edition is the Challenge Levels which has nothing to do with the over all game right ?

I can't find the thread for the first game so I'll ask here.

I know in order to get the achievements for completing the game's original campaign on a specific difficulty you can't change it once you've started the game. But I heard that you can play the Jedi Temple mission on Apprentice difficulty until you fight the dark apprentice then change it to a higher difficulty and you'll get the achievement for it. I don't want to waste my time unless i know for sure this is true. can somebody confirm this?

TFU was also a terrible game from the gameplay aspect (Well the story was terrible as well). Lots a promises made with that game, that were never fulfilled leading to the release of a mediocre game. There is a lot of talk that #2 has still not fixed the bulk of those gameplay aspects.

TFU wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible (especially the story). As for all the talk that #2 has still not fixed the bulk of those gameplay aspects...I don't know where you got that.

Just by watching videos and reading some of the previews, you can see they've fixed most of those. They've fixed the camera, the targeting systerm, added dismemberment, improved Euphoria and DMM (better AI and more environmental destruction), more varied enemies, more puzzles, made the QTEs shorter, no loading in the menu (yay :oldrazz:), you can now move while blocking and more that I can't remember right now.

The only talk that they haven't fixed stuff in TFU II I've seen, is from comments on gaming sites. I've seen comments on gametrailers, complaining that the game doesn't have dismemberment, when the actual video they've commented on shows arms and heads being cut off.

If you want to get into the story I will. Honestly, perhaps the worst EU story I have seen presented since the start of the new trilogy. An attempt to place a character in canon who is on par with Vader and Luke is laughable, as is how utterly bland and unlikable the character is. The view of the force in the game contradicts what is presented in the films. And well the love story. :whatever:

The first game suffered from three basic problem. Granted there were plenty of problems, but there were three that emphasized why it only got attention because it is Star Wars.

1. The lightsaber doesn't work like a lightsaber.

2. The difficultly of the game had nothing to do with the game play and everything to do with how much damage an enemy can take and the inability to lock on with ease. Little skill or strategy in how you fight an enemy because no matter their size or weapons, the same strategy applied and thus you could spam attacks. Lighting and the saber toss could get everything done.

3. Bad level/puzzle designs.

For TFUII lots of talk about how they fixed these problems and then the videos are released and it looks like the same game with another saber and prettier graphics. Limbs fall off, but the enemies are still damage sponges. You can still spam. What is the point of having combos end different if it means nothing to the game, when all you need are three techniques to beat the game on its hardest difficulty?

I can't argue with you about your distaste for the story after all its your opinion no matter how much of the minority your in. I can dispute your belief in the contradiction of how the force is used.

1. Not an expert on the force but George Lucas signed off on it and he's the creator of the force and everything Star Wars
2. Yoda lifted Luke's starship from a swamp in Dagobah. He also said size of the object doesn't matter you just have to believe you can move it.
3. Darth Vader said the force is more powerful than the Deathstar.
4. StarKiller being powerful than Luke I can agree with that. However i was under no impression that Luke was even remotely as powerful as Vader. He might of beat him at the end of ROTJ but Obi-Won also beat Vader. As I understand it Obi-Won is a moderate force user his true power is his wisdom.

That guy, George Lucas said Luke is stronger then Vader by ROTJ and that Luke was the strongest of them all in the end. Vader could of been, but then he lost all his human bits.

Which is exactly the point. Lucas has based the force around the potential of the user. The "I think you can" can only get you so far. There is a reason why the vast majority of the Star Wars universe are not force users.

Luke being the strongest by the Return of Jedi contradicts a lot. For one Anakin/Vader midiclorin count being the highest ever with suggestions that he was immaculately conceived by the force itself. So that doesn't make any sense unless by strength he includes wisdom and other tangibles. I never got the impression from watching the complete trilogy that Luke was the strongest of the bunch. I would put Yoda ahead of him even the Emperor I felt was stronger than Luke.

Or...perhaps George Lucas just creates new plot holes in every movie. Yah, I'll go with that one.

Anakin had the greatest potential. However when he lost half his body that potential went out the window, according to Lucas. Why he is never ends up stronger then the Emperor and is forced into the inferior position.

At the end of the saga, Luke is the man. He surpasses Yoda, the Emperor, Vader, and Obi-Wan in their knowledge of the force by rejecting the darkside and redeeming his father (Something Yoda and Obi-Wan did not even see as possible).

I'll reply to your post at some point DarthSkywalker, I'm just bored right now. :oldrazz:

In the meantime, here's a 21 min video from Gamescom

OMG I can't wait for this to come out everything about this looks so amazing. The grapple attacks are crazy my first move with Force Fury is going to force lighting everything around me.

LOL. This.

Its efing fiction. George Lucas can come out tomorrow and tell us the force really comes from drinking too much vodka and we'd have to accept it because you know, ITS NOT REAL.

I loved when ppl were arguing about the force powers before the first game came out, saying stupid stuff like, 'well you cant do that with force lightening' etc and i just had to laugh. Last time i checked, its all fake. So if George says something can be done within HIS creation, then it can.

EDIT: Gave up on it. The audio on the video was coming out wrong. Never mind.

Demo. Sweet!:woot:

I replayed the first one over and over until the game came out. Really looking forward to this.

I finally saw all the visions of subject 1157 1-26 and it really shows a lot. I really can not wait to get this game the improvements they've done have me really excited. I haven't been this excited for a release since Batman:AA. I hope Gamestop has a midnight sale for this game because i will so be there.
