Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II

Hey cool, I thought that code was to get a silver membership or something. haha duh.

Already downloaded the new skin, crystal and 3 new maps. Thanx :yay:

No problem, any time,:D:up: I have the PS3 version, but I figured it would be the same!!!:awesome::up:

This is completely fallacious. Arkham Asylum, The Devil May Cry series, Infamous, Bayonetta, and the Prince of Persia series (with the exception of the reboot) are all third-person actioners that have been very well received by critics, and the list certainly doesn't stop there.

First of all you excluded the part about average scores ranging from 7-8 for action adventure games. Second batman AA and infamous are more sandbox than action game. There arent any levels or other locations just unlockable areas which make them sandboxes. I know rocksteady fooled us they actually built a sandbox game starring batman it was just a smaller box than what we've come accustomed too from the gta series. I went back checked the scores of the action games you listed and not one of them had a metacritic score of 90 on the next gen conoles. Never played bayonetta outside of the demo and it had the best score of the bunch at 87 which was a little surprising because of my own impressions from my experience with it.

I just saw that this got a 6.5 on IGN. For those that have it, is it worth it or does it suck? I liked the demo but I know others werent impressed

The problem wasn't the demo but the rest of the game. It seems the demo compacted all the good things about the game into that package.

The rest of the game is repetitive and is pretty much a lower and boring recycling of what you could do in the demo. The game never really does anything else right.

It's been getting panned everywhere. I would wait until GameFly is selling it for $15.

IMO, its pretty much more of the same from the last game altho there are some pretty damn epic scenes. I havent gotten far enough into the game yet to see if the story is as bad as all the reviews say(at this point i think the story is fine). But they didnt really add much to the game. Sure the double light sabers are cool, but they didnt make saber vs saber combat any better. In fact, its worse. The enemy types are pretty limited too. The first boss battle in pretty epic, the second one is annoying tho. Im not much further than the 2nd boss. I say hold out on the game for a bit. It's not a must play.

Have you even played the game yet, because that statement is a bit, wrong. The demo gives you a good taste of what you can do in the game sure, but there's more to see than just the demo level. Theres deff some holy ish moments that dont happen within that demo. You were trashing the game before it even came out, so your opinion prob isnt the best one to take.

Or rent it... as a Star Wars fan I feel I SHOULD play it that way I can pan it myself if it craps on the lore. I won't be spending 60 dollars on it, if a game is only 8 hours long it should release for like 30.

I'll check it out, but I won't buy it... even if I like it I'll wait until it's 17 used.

Yea i suggest renting it. Especially if you're a Star Wars fan. If you enjoyed the gameplay of the first title, youll at least enjoy that much of the second. Like i said, im not far enough into the game to really judge the story, but so far its not that bad.

I'm just a stickler when it comes to my Star Wars (yeah, my Star Wars... I don't share it. :p )

Yea, i really dont care about the "lore" the way some do, to me, its nothing more than silly, outlandish stories. Neat stories, but still its fiction so, if they want to go back and say something happened that wasnt talked about before, well they can do that, being its fictional and all. I can see how stuff like that can bug ppl tho, i mean i like my stories to have a form of cohesiveness to em as well.

I just completed the game. It really is super short. I couldn't believe it when i saw the achievement popping up saying i had completed the game. I also dont see why ppl are whining about the story and not being canon. Now i chose the light side ending, which im assuming is the "correct" ending and nothing happened that would break canon. The story isnt as powerful as the last game however.

Overall the game is underwhelming. There are some holy s##t moments, but not many. Deff worth a play through if you were a fan of the first game, but deff not a must own title. I still have a LOT of costumes to unlock and saber crystals to find so that's some incentive to play it again, but i doubt ill play through this one just to take in the story multiple times like i did the last game.

[BLACKOUT]Is Vader captured and taken to the Rebel base on Dantooine? If so... that kinda breaks canon. Why? He has no idea that there is a Rebel base on Dantooine in A New Hope. Unless he's completely out cold or near death his entire time there....and then is somehow rescued by the Empire...who then suddenly forget about a Rebel Base being on Dantooine. [/BLACKOUT]

I'm still looking forward to this. Suppose I'll just think of it as an expansion pack to the first one.

Like I said I'll still get it.... but there's no reason as of right now based on what I'm hearing from everyone that's played it to spend 60 dollars on it... more so with the rate games have been dropping in price. Mass Effect 2 and GoW III are prime examples. ME2 is 29.99 new and GoW III is 39.99 new....they haven't even been out a year yet.

Well Vader is captured, but we don't know for how long. I'm assuming he never makes it to the rebel base, we see Bobba Fett tailing the rebel ship at the end, so I'm sure he aids the empire in helping Vader get free. As for the Dantooine thing, yes that I can understand, but Vader being captured shouldn't be a problem for ppl as we never actually see him held at a rebel base.

Yea I'd agree with that man. Id have to double check but I think I beat the game in about 5 hrs, it's super short

Don't know why but seeing Vader held at gunpoint then in restraints felt so wrong to me. Not used to seeing him in that situation I guess.
Game was still enjoyable however part of me is disappointed we may not get a third game.

[BLACKOUT]I guess as long as we never SEE him on Dantooine, or they never tell him where they are taking him it's ok... but I still have issues with him being captured in the first place... UNLESS we get a third game and in it we find out that Vader was captured intentionally.

As for him being a clone or not... they never really answer that from what I heard. We're TOLD he's a clone... but we never find out if it's a lie.[/BLACKOUT]

Bottom line: We better get a friggin' 3rd game to answer questions.

Well Vader just got done having his ass handed to him by Galen Marek, he had no choice but to surrender. Galen would have killed him otherwise. I wouldn't put it past him that it was all a ploy, like I said, Fett was right on their tail as soon as the rebel ship took off. As for them telling him they were going to take him to Dantooine, I can't remember, I know it was mentioned but not sure if they told him.

[BLACKOUT]lol, that's another thing that bugs me. Who is Galen Marek in the Star War universe? He shouldn't be whooping up on the Chosen One...Unless, like I said Vader allowed himself to lose. [/BLACKOUT]

It was to my knowledge that the Empire already knew there was a base on Dantooine, and they blew up Alderaan because it would be a better show of the Empires power. All that's on Dantooine at this point is an old Jedi training ground and the Rebel Base and a few native settlers.

Tarkin fired on Alderaan because he was ruthless and wanted to show her what was going to happen to he "rebel friends soon enough."

Obi-Wan beat Vader, Luke beat Vader. Vader wasnt all that. Galen was extremely powerful, obviously, so its easy to see him defeating Vader. Thats the whole point of these stories, just because we didnt hear about them in the movies doesnt mean these characters cant exist within the fiction. We never heard anything about Darth Revan before KOTOR, but he was a pretty strong dude. Like i said, its fiction, they can go back and say Vader was actually an albino and you cant really argue it.
