State Your Opinion on A Character - Part 1

I don't think he really started to look cool until he ditched the ubiquitous trench coat. :o

Doesn't matter, like pretty much all good characters, he started out shallow and pedantic, and after great writers got ahold of him, he became awesome.

I barely remember anything about him and only read him in the Image books.

To be fair, if they did, they'd probably put some hack on it who would f**k it up anyway.

Grifter....the best way to describe him would be early Wolverine mixed with Hawkeye, minus all that boos**t mysterious past crap. The guy was just cool.

What they've done with him in the DCnU however has been utter s**t. If I were trying to shove a guy like him into such a world, I woulda had him be a former Knight of Checkmate or something.
Holy s***, that would've been awesome. Maybe Team 7 could've been an elite squad within Checkmate or the DEO, even. :hehe:

Anyway, Grifter's awesome. He's the all-purpose badass spy. James Bond with a sense of humor. Nick Fury in his younger days. The best was when he was training his replacement for corporate espionage in Wildcats v3.0 and played all kinds of mind games with him to toughen him up.

Also, he definitely looked better without the stupid trenchcoat. Travis Charest will pretty much always have the best Grifter to me:

Grifter is the only member of Wildcats that I like or care about. His new comic hurts me because I was so looking forward to it.

Yeah Grifter's awesome. I mean the real grifter of course, not the current pale imitation.

Well, that's it for Grifter.

Cool guys get hot half monster chicks rubbing ther boobies on their back. :o

Voodoo

Easily my least favorite of the Wildcats. I never really cared for her, even when she was doin' it with Hadrian, and Hadrian's my favorite of the Wildcats. She's just... meh.

uh can someone wake me at my stop! Thanks!

I thought she was a pretty cool character once they started making her into the half daemonite type thing. I have to admit though that this new incarnation of her is more interesting, though I hate what the reboot's done to the wildcats in general.

How's the new version different?

I've always been a fan of Aquaman and glad that he's finally getting some well written material. He deserves more attention than what he gets.

How's the new version different?

She's a shapeshifter (able to look like anyone) and so far appears to be an enemy of humanity, gathering info on the government and perfectly willing to kill government agents.
Basically it's her in name and look only.

Isn't that the definition of an Image character?

Pretty much. Also I got bored when Corp mentioned "badass super spy". The only thing I laugh at more than super spies are ninjas. :o

( wakes up to Expound!)
Ninajs!! I heard something about Ninjas! where?!where?!?!
I 8TE NINJAS!!!:argh:

Spartan

I always liked Spartan. My exposure to the Wildcats is limited, as fire as Wildstorm goes I'm much more familiar with The Authority and Planetary, but Spartan always struck me as being kind of like Superman with Cyclops' disposition. I kind of dug that.

He's the one I liked best. As the Question said, a mix of Supes and Cyke. That's a sure winner with me.

Wildcats 3.0 was amazing

Imagine if you picked up a brand new #1 of Spider-Man, and instead of being the wise cracking Everyman you know and love, he's a male Super model who gets abducted by spider-aliens, given spider-powers, and shoots webbing out of his butt.

That does sound kind of intriguing

If Spiderman shot webbing from there I could understand why Jameson thinks he's a menace that would freak me out

Anatomically it would make sense though, dammit! :argh:

It would be anatomically correct but it would be terrifying Hound

Alright, experiments over. Clearly this community of comic nerds hasn't come far enough from their petty brand racism to understand the awesomeness of the WildC.A.T.S. :o

Shame on you. :argh:

I am Disappoint. :o

The Riddler

Really like the Riddler. Kind of like what they were setting up with the character with the reboot. Where he was a "good guy" and it was always up in the air if he was good or bad and if he still could remember who Batman was.

Don't know if that even has carried over into the new universe or not yet.
