Thanks to retconns and what not, he hasn't lost any Robins. Just had one go evil on him.

Well, if no Crisis' ever happened, probably not. I don't see where he actually had the time to do so. :o

Oh yeah, that's right. Infinite Crisis never happened. None of the Crisis did. Forgot about that.
So if Final Crisis never happened, Batman never "died", but still had his time travel experience, because Morrison's run is still canon. But then again, his clone's corpse showed up in Blackest Night, which Geoff said is still canon, yes? And the clone came from Final Crisis, so...

Ugh.

I love Batman and Robin. Why? Because f*** realism, that's why. What's the point of a medium that encourages limitless creativity if you're just gonna shackle yourself to what could conceivably happen in real life? Robin works just fine as a concept and, moreover, almost all of them have been cool, with 2 out of the 5 of them being some of the best characters in DC's stable.

In Batwoman #2 Batman makes a comment to her: "Keep Flamebird out of the Weeping Woman case until you know what you're dealing with. Murdered side-kicks tend to come back from the dead. As super-villains."

Batwoman's first arc was pretty clearly written waaaay before the New 52 thing was an issue.

Yea they said that, but they still made adjustments to the arc. So it was still editted. Yet that made it to print. No comic makes mention that Jason didn'tdie. This one in Batwoman makes it painfully obvious.

Agreed, though, at the same time I still think Robin can be Nolanized. All is necessary is that he adopt a teenage Dick Grayson like in Batman Forever (yeah, I'm referencing Batman Forever) instead of a twelve year old one. And even then, maybe that's not necessary; just look at the movie Hanna. Of course that movie isn't realistic neither, but it's also not campy; which is the main complaint against Robin.

Is this it for the Dynamic Duo? Will the time restraints of this thread end Batman and Robin's cavalcade of love? Tune in next time! Same Bat-time! Same Bat-Thread

No opinion of any of the WILDCATS except Spartan, who reminds me of Cyclops a little and so I like him okay.

Yeah well, we'll get to him later. Tell you what, I'll tell those that don't know much about them a bit, and you know, you can judge from that and maybe become interested enough to you know, track down some of the awesome for yourselves.

Majestic for instance, is your basic Superman clone. Quite frankly, he's probably closer to Golden/Silverage Superman than anybody. Not only does he have the standard powers, but he also has that big Super Brain that Supes has been lacking for the last 30 some odd years. He's Superman with Reed Richard's brain. Guys awesome.

One time, the entire planet got hijacked by a space arc that's been hurtling through space, gathering up entire populations of planets to save them from a threat either long dead or too far away to be a threat yet. This guy chases the thing down, building a f**king hyperspace harness as he's chasing it to save energy for the inevitable beat down he would soon be giving these *****e nozzles for stealing humanity.

People who still think Robin is campy probably haven't read Batman comics in some time. :o

Majestic is awesome. Probably the best of the Superman rip-offs who don't have some extra gimmick of their own. He's basically the answer to "what if the Kryptonians didn't die off and were imperialistic *****ebags?"

Well, I guess that's it for Majestic.

Ugh, tough room. Maybe boobs and butts will sway their fanboy hearts.

Zealot

Basically Wildstorm's Wonder Woman, though lacking in strength, flight, speed, and she has a compunction for getting nearly killed to death all the time.

She's what all those writers who don't know how to write Wonder Woman think of when they think about writing Wonder Woman. (Well, after Xena, then Bondage Porn, then a short nap.)

I more or less agree.

Hell, I think any story that's going for as much realism as possible with Batman should still have Robin because Robin is awesome. And if a man deviates from social norms enough to become a bat themed vigilante, then I don't see why him taking on an apprentice is going too far.

Yeah, Zealot does tend to get f***ed up a lot for a super-badass warrior. But she and Grifter were fun together. Probably my least favorite part about her was that Savant turned out to be her and Majestic's daughter instead of Zealot's sister. That was just... bleh. But other than that I liked her. Not one of my favorites of the Wildcats crew, but a solid B-lister in their ranks to me.

I get this sort of Leifeld vibe coming in here. I think I need a shower.

Get back to the real DC.

:doom: :doom: :doom:

It's more of a 90's Jim Lee Vibe, but hey, if you wanna be racist knock yourself out. :o

There was plenty of great Wildcats stuff from Alan Moore, Joe Casey, Travis Charest, Sean Phillips, Duncan Rouleau, DnA, and Neil Googe, you plebeian. :o

I know right? Just because they're all mixed up in 90's excess doesn't mean they don't have years of awesome stories to read.
