Bah, I'd rather see Moriarty begin his scheme to take over the world without that damn Holmes there to f**k s**t up. :o

Yeah, I agree. If they didn't try to turn one of literature's great villains into some sort of cliched sounding anti-hero, then I probably would have read this one already.

Yeah, something like that story Waid did, where that Dr. Doom like villain takes over the world, gets everything he ever wanted, and now has to live with the enormity of it all. What was the name of that? That s**t was awesome.

EMPIRE! That was the name of it.

Yeah, focus on Moriarty running his criminal empire in a LoEG style world that references other literature. It could be a kind of steampunk Sopranos.

Barbarella

Major MEH on the Jane Fonda flick. Other than that never even knew she had a comic.

Yeah, it started out as a French comic book.

It took me a while to find pictures of it. Well, boob-free pictures that is. :hehe:

French comics are awesome with the S&M and graphic sex.

Barbarella, never read anything with her in it......nor have I seen the movie, however she's kind of a pop culture Icon I guess.

hahaha damn! i didnt know they made a comic of that either!( where the hell are these comics coming from!) but the movie barbarella

Well, I haven't read the original book either but I love a lot of the look and tone of the movie. The whole psychedelic, quasi-sexual, sixties, Moorcock-style is cool as absolute ****.

Unfortunately, if I remember correctly, the story and acting are total garbage...

I did like that Duran Duran song Electric Barbarella. :o

Tis quite the tune:

You know what's great about Babrbarella? The zero gravity striptease opening sequence. Everything about that scene's just really cool.

The nipple-free version: (to keep me sweet with the mods here. :hehe:)

I bet that doll was very sticky after the end of that shoot. :o

Never heard of it
Kinda glad I didn't, looks repelling

I think I heard about that or something.

Clown/Violator? Eh.

I think Rodriguez was gonna do it after Sin City with Rose McGowan in the role.

I'm either really for or really against that, depending on whether or not that was the pre-facelift era...

Clown/Violator:

Back in the day, I thought he was a really cool villain. But like practically everything Spawn-related, I couldn't give a **** about it anymore.

I thought that was supposed to be Red Sonja.....and what the f**k happened with that s**t?

Yeah, they were gonna do Red Sonja too. I dunno, Rodrigues went mcGowan-crazy for a while there... She was to him what Johnny Depp is to Tim Burton.

They're splitsville now, though.

I love that time he and Spawn fought, Violator pulling Al's heart out and Al falls, then he rises and a hilarious fight ensues :funny:
That was until Malbolgia bucks in and sucks Violator powers for a while

Cartoon adaption of that scene on the other hand, eeh, Spawn is embarrassing in that show, and it makes it worse knowing McFarlane worked his @$# real hard on that show and to make it air

Well, McGowan got in a car accident that ****ed up her face not that long ago. I assume that put a lot of her projects on hold, seeing as she had to heal up from doctors surgically reattaching a chunk of her face.

Like most things Spawn related Clown/Violator is much better in concept than in execution. The idea of a demon from hell that transforms from a clown into a huge demon named Violator has a ton of potential, and IMO they did use him decently better than most in the comic. As the comic really went nowhere so did Violator, but at least the animated series is awesome enough to have a kick ass version of him. The movie version wasn't bad either. John Leguizamo was pretty funny in it.

Damn! For realz?
