Oddly enough, I preferred Godfather III over the Vito parts in Godfather II, lol.I prefer Godfather III to Michael Corleione parts in the first hour of Godfather II
Here's some films I like (not love, but like) that most people hate:
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
Spider-Man 3
Hulk
The Godfather: Part III
Miami Vice
Quantum of Solace
There's probably more but I can't of them right now, lol.
It had some social themes running through it as well. Lil James Franco's character was a sly critique/comdemnation of the listless American youth, the motorcycle gang being named "the 1%ers" had obvious social revelance, and there were constant various socio-political comments/observations covertly made throughout the film; all done in a way that was neither preachy not distracting to those seeking purely a funny movie.
All in all, a lot of thought and care obviously went into the movie. Probably even moreso than the original screenplay warranted. And that kind of thing really shines through - even when people don't consciously realize it - that's what has made it so popular, I think.
Due Date, on the other hand, is one of the funniest things I've seen in my life. I'll even say it took Planes Trains & Automobiles and made it funnier.
Aye, SM3 is flawed, I admit, but the good stuff trumps the flaws IMO.I like all of them except for Miami Vice. I love Miami Vice.
Spider-man 3 has parts I love and parts I hate.
Not sure why that film is black listedI pretend Godfather part III doesn't exist.
Not so odd, $#%^ happensOddly enough, I preferred Godfather III over the Vito parts in Godfather II, lol.
t: I always thought that if you were going to Vito's backstory, it should have been done in it's own movie and not detract from Michael's story. Not so odd, $#%^ happens
Got that feeling every time he appeared on screent: I always thought that if you were going to Vito's backstory, it should have been done in it's own movie and not detract from Michael's story.
While I acknowledge his talent as a director and dp, I'm not sure there is one sohderberg film that I really like. I haven't seen them all thoughI like Ocean's Twelve.
Yeah. But is P,T &A really underrated, I don't think I've ever met anyone who doesn't like it (besides ipodman that is)John Candy was brilliant in Planes, Trains ,& Automobiles. That film is underrated.
I agree but I thought Garfield was really good in it and I'm looking forward to the next installment hopefully with a better story and a better villain a la TDK (one can always dreamtI don't think The Amazing Spider-Man is all that great.

Yeah, most films seem forgotten these days .P, T, and A is well liked , but it seems forgotten these days.
I really like ASM because of the cast. Not so much the story. I hope it gets better , but I'm waiting to see what happens with Green Goblin.
While I do think Garfield did a good job with what he was given, I didn't like the way that Peter/Spidey was written. He seemed like too much of a punk and not like...well, Peter Parker lolI agree but I thought Garfield was really good in it and I'm looking forward to the next installment hopefully with a better story and a better villain a la TDK (one can always dreamt
I didn't find Skyfall and the last Batman all that great. One was not what I expect from a Bond film ( it was too personnal for my taste, the relationship with M, Bond familly etc ) and the latter was just a step down from the previous movie ( the pacing, a scoobidoo twist with Taila and a senior Batman ).

I agree. The more I watch TDKR, the more I love it.
I couldn't disagree more about Skyfall. It had everything you expect in a Bond movie and more. The One liners were back, the humor, exotic locales, women, and Craig's Bond going back to being like Connery's Bond in the end.
All of the best Bond movies involved him getting personal. In Goldfinger, it was Jill Masterson's death after he irresponsibly dealed with GF. In The Spy Who Loved Me, it was his relationship with Anya, which got even more personal after she finds out he killed her lover. In Goldeneye, it was his relationship with 006 and his betrayal that set him off. He could have brought him back to England and had him arrested, but he was too hurt hence, the the "For me, line". And we all know about Casino Royale.
The more I watch TDKR, the more I love it.
Personally I watched it once and that was more than enough, I have no desire to ever suffer through it again. I'm sure the clumsy script, horrible characterization and glaring plot holes would shine through even more on repeat viewings ...now that's an unpopular opinion!
