OMG. "Misery porn" is a perfect description of Logan.You can dump any amount of boring exposition and "explanation" for that. But ultimately he's there for cheap thrills.I wish it reminded me of The Terminator, a movie that I watched zillion times. My reaction to it was "Wait, what?"I don't give a **** about the kids. There's no connection to them, unless you're too sentimental and just a sight of a puppy makes you tear up. Dead Xavier, the only interesting character in the entire film.

I don't think X24 was there for cheap thrills. I think they purposefully used a savage, mindless clone of Logan instead of say, Sabertooth, for a reason. Logan up against his worst nightmare... himself out of control. The thing he always dreaded becoming. The image of him brutally killing Chuck was powerful.

The kids? Well we are shown the hell they are put through. We are not just told with exposition heavy dialogue. We're SHOWN. These kids have been through hell and are trying to find their place in the world. I could feel sympathy for them. They are Laura's family.
