I just watched Misery recently. Damn that movie.

Creepy Laugh and Creepy Voice but put me on the list of not watching any more of these trailers Im just ready to see the movie. I love the arguments of how this won't be as great as the mini series was. In that I ask I don't remember the Mini series being that good I mean sure Tim Curry Killed it as Pennywise and the kid actors were good but the 2nd part pretty much fell apart for me.

Breh, the mini series is not good. I watched a few months ago. Curry was great, child actors alright, but beyond that...lawd.

Okay, just saw a TV spot, where they have the red balloon going up to reveal Pennywise's face. And then he did a quick smile. That freaked by the #%!^ out.

Just watched it because of those of you mentioning it on here...I liked it a lot, I always thought it looked pretty creepy but never got around to it...Definitely one of the best Stephen King adaptations...Annie Wilkes reminds me of some people on this forum lol

You cockadoodie dirty bird.

Someone put a description of the footage that will be shown at Annabelle: Creation. Sounds awesome if true!!!

SPOILERS AHEAD. Recount of all the footage from the Annabelle: Creation showing.

I'm gonna talk about the footage and the scene they show. It's pretty awesome, terrifying too.

It starts off with a close up on our favourite author, Stephen King, talking about how he's happy IT is finally on the big screen. He also mentions how it's important to him personally and such, and then the scene starts.

It starts off Georgie leaving the house with the boat, where he waves at Bill. Bill tells him to be safe or something similar through a walkie talkie from his room.

Anyways, we see the whole scene instead of just a small snippet of Bill running down the street, we also see him also running in an over the head/top view, boat in water. He dodges the first thingo, but then smacks his head on the second one which causes him to stop and then lose the boat as he cannot run fast enough, and then the boat falls into the drain.

From there on we see Pennywise, it's similar to the miniseries at first, Pennywise asks Georgie if he wants his boat and stuff back, and then Georgie brings up the fact he's a stranger so he's like "Oh, well Pennywise meet Georgie, and Georgie meet Pennywise."

From there on, the dialogue becomes similar to the book, Georgie asks why he's down in the drain, and IT says the storm blew him and the whole circus away. Then lists off all the things the circus has, and then he says it has Georgie's favourite, which Georgie exclaims "Popcorn?!". There's a whole bunch of tension, then Pennywise won't stop laughing going "POP POP POP POP", and then Georgie starts giggling and joins in too. It feels really light-hearted and comical, so anybody thinking that Bill Skarsgard's IT doesn't look or feel like it could seem super friendly and harmless. In this scene he does, he comes across as super friendly, Georgie's laughing and he is too, but then there's a whole tonal shift, Pennywise suddenly goes dead quiet, just staring into nowhere, and then Georgie stops laughing, scared he asks if he can leave, and Pennywise stops him - and says something along the lines of "Don't you want your boat?" And then Georgie reaches in to grab it, and then the scene cuts, and that's the end of the footage.

TL:DR Georgie's actor is pretty amazing, anyone who had worries about Bill Skarsgard's Pennywise/IT interpretation looks too intimidating or scary to seem friendly/harmless shouldn't be worried. He seemed harmless and scary during the scene at times, and I can't wait to see the movie. Bill is amazing at showing how terrifying IT can be, and how friendly, charming and harmless he can seem too. I have huge and high hopes for the movie, and if every other scene and the rest of the movie is like the one I seen - I think it'll be easily the best movie of 2017.

The 4 minute exclusive footage will play alongside all the screenings of Annabelle:Creation in US & Canada. In the UK, the footage is exclusive to ODEON Cinemas.

King on his involvement with Andy Muschietti's IT:

I wasn’t involved at all. I wished them well. Geez, I don’t even think they sent me any swag from that one! But maybe that’s a good thing. I’ve seen it, it’s fabulous.

There was a bit in the set-visit our own Eric Walkuski paid to the set last year where Muschietti said this about King's involvement:

I’m very happy making an adaptation, my interpretation of the story, and I would be thrilled to meet Stephen King, but there comes a time in the process where you start feeling good with your interpretation of it, and your contribution to the story, and it doesn’t feel like I want to discuss my ideas with him, you know? I don’t know. It feels like something that I would be embarrassed to tell him, you know? “Your words and your moments don’t work,” right?

This is the same man who poopooed Kubrick's The Shining and gave his blessing on Sony's The Dark Tower... So bad sign. :p

Out of all the movie adaptions of his books King loves Misery, Delores Claiborne, Cujo, The Shawshank Redemption, Stand By Me, and The Green Mile.

So him calling this movie fabulous is a great sign.

I never watched Deloris Claiborne.

I've never seen Dolores Claiborne, but I've also never read Dolores Claiborne, so it's a perfect match.

"I gave [Kubrick] a live grenade, and he threw himself on top of it." :D

King's said before once he gets cut a (usually large) check, he doesn't care what happens.

It's still almost impossible for me to see Bill as Pennywise. He's always been this attractive but dark sort of a guy for me, like Dane DeHaan but sexier. He seems to be completely immersed into the role, even more so than Curry.

The whole film looks fantastic, but I'm wildly excited to see Pennywise in particular.

I don't even recognize him in the role. It's like Heath Ledger as the Joker, I never saw him in the role when watching it. The make up makes Bill unrecognizable, IMO. Like Ledger I hope the performance does, too.

I'm not even that familiar with the guy so either way it's new for me.

A clip of the opening sequence just leaked (from the sneak preview of Annabelle) it's out there for those who can find it. I' personally think it's worth waiting for the entire movie. There was a screening in la and ny today, reactions will be coming out. I've been pretty open with my opinions since I saw it in March. But I'll reiterate that I loved it, it's up there for top 5 sk adaptations easily. Bill skarsgard absolutely nailed the performance. I can't wait to be able to talk more in depth about it.

I saw the leaked scene and I have to say Georgie and Pennywise are amazing! The score was also pretty great too!
