And the great thing about the way this has been set up is that the sequel won't just be "The same monster moves on and starts ****ing with new people". It's the same characters, just at a different place in their lives.

Watching Pennywise's hair fly around like

After the success of Stranger Things, this movie could not have come at a better time. Trailer has my body very ready.

I only wish we got to hear Pennywise speak, but on the other hand he's a lot creepier silent. Over the past couple of weeks this has been moving up my most anticipated list.

I couldn't stop laughing at this part.

But yeah, that was a good trailer. Looks much better than I was expecting.

LOL! I'm glad I'm not the only one. The way he waddles out of the water just looks funny to me.

Tough obviously to compare after seeing only fragments of a performance but I always thought Curry's version although frightening never hit the places I think this interpretation is going to show.

He's like a wet juggalo coming up out that water.

Definitely one of my most anticipated movies this year. And that's saying a lot for a horror movie...yeah, this one's gonna be big.

In the leaked draft, Pennywise (after rising from the water)
scuttles up the stairs like a crocodile with Georgie's corpse on his back,
so I hope that makes it into the film.

Both depressing, and excellent.

I can't stop watching the trailer. Man, this movie looks awesome.

I've watched it like 6-7 times at work today.

Haven't been this excited for a horror flick in a very long time.

I'd have to go back and check, but I think that he blamed it on a combination of writer's block, too much booze, and not enough sleep.

I kind of get what he was maybe going for with that, sort of. But it just didn't work and was more cringe-inducing than anything else.

Wait so in the book the group of lads ******** the girl? Wtf? And she just goes along with it? And why do they even do it?

Same here. I wanted to hear him speak so badly but not hearing the voice managed to raise my anticipation that much more. I like that rather than putting the monster out there in all its glory, there's still a lot we're left curious about.

Same. I think Horror is a terrible genre overall (due to there being pretty much nothing but crap released nowadays), but this could be excellent.

Once they defeat IT as kids, their memories and connection start to fade. Rapidly. They don't even remember how to exit the sewer. The book heavily implies that if IT wasn't around, they probably wouldn't have been that connected at all. Bev has sex with them to secure their bond.

That is just weird

Yeah. I get what he was going for, but I don't like that scene. A blood oath would've been better.

Yeah a blood oath would have definitely been more tasteful.

Thanks for posting the whys of that scene though

Do you mean that's not how all girls secure their friendships with their male friends? Man I've been doing it wrong. :o

What an excellent trailer. Man this looks beautiful and so creepy, love the tone. As I've said not a fan of the original at all so this trailer has upped my anticipation even more now.

I read it as (in the book)

[BLACKOUT]Given they define themselves as the Loser's Club, it was the one way Beverley knew she could connect with them, through a 'teen's' interpretation of bonding, and given her father's authoritative stance with her, this was her 'way' of rebelling against that, as we know, a teen will always try and make their ground against parental wish. [/BLACKOUT]

I might be the only way that is glad that we didn't get a taste of his voice in this trailer. If anything save it for the Offical trailer. Overall I liked everything that happend in this trailer and so can't wait to see this movie in Septmeber.
