Steven Spielberg's Falling Skies

I liked the camp fire scene between Pope & Tom. Actually thought that bonding moment would actually make them blood brothers of sort. Then Tom squashed that and the two nearly killed one another.

My daughter and I were like, "What the hell..?" Were we the only one's thinking that? Why would Tom start a fight with Pope out in the middle of nowhere when they need each other to survive?

Nice to see a renewal even if I was expecting it.

Crazy LOST was better than this show will ever be, and I don't even dislike the show. :o

I really liked the Tom and Pope interaction this week, their dynamic remains uncertain, Pope has retained his dickishness longer than I expected. I thought the facial reaction of Noah Wyle when Pope told him his back story was some fantastic subtle acting.

I also liked Weaver leading the way to find Anne, he's like the Patriarch of the 2nd Mass.

I'm glad next week will bring the split personality Hal storyline into the light and hopefully resolve it as I'm not a fan of this element or the alien baby stuff.

The certainly made Gloria Reuben look like the spy this week... maybe a little too much. But I still think it's her.

She's been my pick from the start and she's clearly going behind Tom's back to get those pics of the weapon the Volm are building. I also thought this week made Pope look suspicious with the way he shut Tom down every time he started trying to go over how the mole could have known where they'd be.

#fanboi! :oldrazz:

Sorry, still don't buy it. I still have Marina as the mole. I don't care if she got the worst of it (pistol whipped by bad Hal) out of that messy ordeal last night. Or that the photos were Tom's to begin with. She's still fishy as hell.

As for Pope. I hope it's him just to see him play the eye bug defense. lol

It really seems like they WANT us to think Marina is the mole. That makes me think she isn't.

I think she is and that someone close to her is a hostage. She is just too suspicious not to be hiding something.

I feel like we haven't talked enough about how good Drew Roy was this week...

We need a character like Pope in the mix, everyone can't be butt buddies in the Second Mass....besides, his badassery is second to only Maggie :hrt: - who btw, is my favorite character on the show after Ben and Capt.Weaver.

btw, whatever happened to Weavers daughters' bf, Rodrigo. I remember them rescuing him in the season premier, didn't they..?

He was rescued but I think they wrote him going off somewhere else.

So, how can they have a new president when the real president is probably still alive?

Their Pres is the Pres of the New USA out of Chucktown, S.C. I don't think there's a lot of peeps outside of South Carolina that recognises their authority. Would not be surprise if a 3rd Pres came to light out of Texas. Which seems to be the case in all similar shows.

The scene between Pope and Weaver at the bar in the last episode was glorious. :woot:

I'm also glad that dork chop Hal didn't accidentally kill Maggie as I feared she was going to be the cop-out tragedy of his body-snatched, gun waving shenanigans.

Right, but they know there's a real president. So wouldn't it make more sense to elect like a governor or mayor of something?

The whole idea of a New USA falls apart if the old one is still around (even if it is in ruins).

Then again, the writing has been kind of odd, since, you'd think by now they would have gotten word of the "real" US government / military still being around. Communication can't be that hard.

How about that mole huh? :funny:

Wonder how the aliens ended up getting control over [blackout]her[/blackout].

Well, at least we got the gender right. lol Looking forward to see how & when the turn happened.

Besides the mole reveal. We found out more about the Volm weapon. Apparently the fish heads are still blocking them from entering Earth. Hopefully when they succeed & the Volm can enter Earth in full force. The Volm screen time picks up & that they are really allies & not new bad guys.

Just waiting for that big twist as the season comes to an end. Everything seems pretty straight forward right now.

I've read some theories online that the Volm weapon is a time machine/alternate dimension gateway which would be far out there. :funny:

I don't really get a treacherous alien vibe from the Volm. Quite frankly, they're kind of flat characters (or at least the one we met). So, that would actually be an interesting development.

I don't really see what they have to gain by lying to humans.

Wow, just another reason for me to hate Lourdes
