Sci-Fi Stranger Things (Netflix) - Part 1

I totally forgot about what happened to Dustin's cat in season 2. You know what? He was 100% responsible for that so he deserved to be alone at the dance. :o

Like the cheap version of Rey training at the start of TROS. :funny:
One's supposed to be in a galaxy far, far away on a planet that's derivative of Yavin and the other one is a junkyard in the backwoods of Indiana.

Maybe you don't need a fancy obstacle course to get the training just right. :)

Careful now, you're gonna get a Netflix HR case opened up. :o
Oh, she's terrible. But how it was filmed, not good either. All the action in the trailers looks pretty low rent compared to big streaming stuff over the the last decade. I think trying to go "big" was a mistake. They can't do Battle of the Bastards let alone a Helm's Deep. What works for the show has been the opposite.

I've seen very little of season 5 on purpose but judging from almost being done with my season 4 rewatch, the best storyline in that season was hands down what was happening in Hawkins and that wasn't as bombastic as what was going on with Eleven, the Russia storyline, or Mike and the Byers boys in California. Less is more for a show like this but I suppose with popularity comes spectacle, even though one of the best scenes of the last season and possibly the show in general was literally just four kids crying in a dark room without any bells and whistles.

Yeah, they are doing it just to do it. Which you know, fine. But at least make it look good. I just finished s1 and while it has a lot mot glaring issues then I remember, there was something properly intense when the action hit. It look decent enough. The forces of the Upside Down just aren't built for this.
