I feel like they havent told us anything but theyve showed us quite a bit so far. I like it because theres no context to any of this. Think about all the characters theyve hinted at:

• Joker
• Harley Quinn
• Deadshot
• Captain Boomerang
• Enchantress
• Rick Flagg
• Waller
• Possibly Deathstroke
• Possibly General Sam Lane
• Possibly Lex Luthor
• Possibly Batman

Thats a bonkers list. I feel like I should be worried about them cramming to many characters in it but we dont know anything yet. Man, this excites me.

I don't think they'll go with no costumes. Maybe that's how it was in a previous script, but they're retooling the movie in light of the DC slate and it's going to a summer blockbuster so they want it to be visually appealing. I think Ayer is going to embrace the characters' costumes and comic elements. The villains are very individual so putting them in uniforms won't achieve much other than looking like the X-Men which doesn't really fit. They're individuals recruited for specific skills and forced to work together. Having separate looks conveys that better. They're not really meant to be a team since each one of them is expendable and they all have different agendas. The movie will probably have a bunch of different wardrobes including their own looks and perhaps matching mission outifits, but it won't be a team uniform or anything. It will be very temporary and mission-specific.

He is not that bad....and an Oscar winner is not needed for Slade. I think Statham would be bad ass as Slade also.

Cbm reception is plagued with this sort of issue imo. Was it Bradley Cooper/Bautista or was it the script/direction/etc? Could other people have stepped in and delivered.

I loved Spartacus(first season moreso) and I love Manu. However I think he was wrong for the part imo and it was the plotting that really had that character working. If anything I would have opted for Manu and the current Ra's actor to swap roles personally.
If only Stephen Lang was available for Slade during that time...

Ha. If only it were that simple. I can tell you that those covers are from a wide swath of time in the Squad's history, and I don't think any of them are "linked" stories with any common thread. Ayer is probably just doing general research. This is sort of where I do wish that WB/DCE had a strong oversight person or people to give some strong background ideas to the various teams they have set up for these films. Having a knowledgeable and enthusiastic "brain trust" involved can only be to the DCCU's betterment.
