Suicide Squad: General Discussion and Speculation - - - - - - - - - - Part 27

The vast majority of people in here talking about the reviews have plans to see the movie so that tantrum is bizarre.

It's really weird that two movies in a row seems to have editing issues.
If home release cut is better ala BvS UC then braced ourselves about 'DC means Director's Cut' comments or something along with that. :funny:

I like this.

Just give us DC!

Well....I have been going to the movies for over 50 years....I have never used RT....I have always chosen which movie to go to by deciding which one sounds interesting....and then going to see it.

That's what I do, too.

I was just being a little snarky with that question. :yay:

It was like, "How did people live without cell phones?" :woot:

This made up stuff about Directors Cut fixing all bad movies is hilarious. I understand why DC fans are desperate though. WB has botched this universe and it is difficult to take that they could screw up so badly.

I haven't seen Suicide Squad yet. And I think BvS:UC was an improvement. If there is a UC for SS and it's better, why not encourage that?

I figured you were....but there are too many other posters on here who live and die by a RT score. The only thing a RT score means to me is.....people on the Hype will lose their minds and cause trouble. I have to make a post now and then reassuring people that they do not have to live by a RT score....if something looks interesting to them....then go see it.

There's now a report from Deadline that confirms Tony Gilroy replaced Gareth Edwards for the Rogue One reshoots. Studio ordered reshoots can sometimes flat out destroy films, I wonder if that's what happened here.

Exactly.

From hereon out DC should just offer moviegoers a voucher for the inevitable extended/ultimate edition Blu-Ray. :cwink: Because it seems they forgot "we'll fix it in post" means post-production, not post-release! :woot:

What's with the smug 'I shall make up me own mind' posts? Talking about reviews do not mean you are a slave to them. Didn't realize this is such a confounding idea.

sometimes I wish I could live in denial

If the RT score was high, it would be waved around like a badge of honor for how great the movie is.

Boom exactly. Same people yelling **** the critics are the same guys who will slap the URL of a film with a high score in a debate.

From someone that has seen the movie, is Boomerang drunk at the end of the mission?

I like your condescension. I don't recall anyone saying anything about "Directors Cuts fixing all bad movies" - But the editing seems to be a major problem with this movie, as it was for BVS theatrical cut. Which was GREATLY improved in the UC. Also you yourself have stated that you like MOS, and have yet to see SS, so interesting that because you hated BVS the "universe is botched"

Not made up, just probability. :funny:
As far as we know SS theatrical cut is director's cut already. :D
'Ayer's cut won' isn't it?
Until it's proven otherwise, SS theatrical cut is Ayer's preferred cut.

While no way director's cut fixed all so-called bad movies, but I do think that BvS UC is an improvement.
It's just amusing if another home release is somewhat better received movie, again. :funny:

Something has gone wrong with WB so-called DC universe if they haven't released one film that has a real positive response.

I swear the DC fans are worse than the Fantastic Four defenders in many ways.

So, the highest rated DCEU film is still Man of Steel, the film that introduced the world to Earth-3 Ultraman... sorry, I meant to say Superman. Snyder makes it hard to distinguish between the two.

There's a really fun 40 minutes at the top of #SuicideSquad, where it feels like Ocean's 11 meets Guardians of the Galaxy. And then...

Baenardin ‏@marcbernardin 7m7 minutes ago
Then you can watch as #SuicideSquad becomes the movie Zack Snyder hired David Ayer to make: a grim, punishing, humorless urban action movie.

For the life of me, I can't understand why these films have to end with CG punching CG standing in front of a CG destroy-a-city machine.

Margot Robbie is fun and Will Smith kicks that old Will Smith charm into gear, but it's not in service of much.

Jared Leto's Joker is an interesting creation but is totally peripheral to #SuicideSquad's drama, to its detriment.

So now its Zack's fault :whatever:

I look forward to Fatman on Batman.

Whether the movie is good or not I shouldn't be surprised Marc dislikes anything "grim" in comic book movies.

However, that is indeed Ayer's style.
