You don't say "flavour of the week" or "[frick] Marvel" until your movie comes out and at least common movie fans like it. Talk about egg on your face. Ayer is a great writer and director. Not sure what went wrong here. Training Day, End of Watch were amazing. I have to see this for myself.

At least Ayer apologized not long after.

I don't give a crap about Ayer saying **** marvel, all I care about is whether he made a good film or not. Was what he said tacky? Yes and he apologized. It's done and over with as far as I'm concerned. Both sides say tacky crap like that. To be fair the Marvel actors say stuff like that more.

Oh my god, I JUST explained that it was a joke and the guy JUST said that he wasn't offended by it.

Is this REALLY the standard of discussion here? You can't make a lighthearted joke when the intention is ACTUALLY to point out how GOOD someone's command of a second language is?

Read my subsequent posts. I complimented him on his English and explained that I didn't mean any offense... He even thanked me for complimenting him.

By the way, the answer to your dismissive rhetorical question is someone with a sense of humor that isn't constrained by hyper-sensitivity...

I'm still going in with an open mind like any movie regardless of reviews on Friday lets hope this is one of those films that critics are wrong about at least in imo.

They are under spotlight, some of media and fans are not forgiving.

Glad to see how universally praised the cast is. In particular, Smith, Robbie, Davis and Hernandez. Leto getting mixed to positive with most citing his lack of screen time as the issue

The only thing I don't like about Hernandez right now is the possible spoiler [BLACKOUT]that he dies. It sounds like he was one of the standout performances and it would be cool to see more Diablo.[/BLACKOUT]
