RoboCop 1987 is my favorite movie and Weller gives a perfect performance.
Robocop 1987 is a true classic And Robocop 3 was a step down for the franchise without Weller in the title role.
There have been couple of attempts of Robocop on TV.
I would have been interested in a TV series if Weller was playing Murphy.

Paul Verhoeven's RoboCop is a brilliant movie. And a perfect example of how to tell such a story.

I just don't understand how after three ****ing times, three ****ing times they can't get it right. It defies all logic how WB can screw up so hard.

Even with Weller in the lead, RoboCop 2 isn't half as good as the original.

Robocop is an amazing movie. It can be considered somewhat a superhero origin movie. And it's far better than most real ones.

Not surprising, considering it's pretty much Judge Dredd.

WB and DC are slowly but surely because the laughing stock of hollywood

this is embarrassing marvel has had zero rotten rated films 8 years into their cinematic universe

3 for 3 rotten films bravo DC

Killer Croc doesn't really have a great deal of exploration. He cracks a few jokes, does some plot necessary stuff and that's about it. Didn't leave much of an impression on me.

Sadly enough, I'll take that as a W.

This is what Doctor Strange director Scott Derrickson wrote on twitter:

If you look at Rotten Tomatoes scores w/o reading selected reviewers that you respect, you're doing it wrong. You and cinema deserve better.

Words of wisdom.. learn it trolls.

Edit.. Classy guy. He understands what it feels to work on a project for years and months and then to have "the critics" try and destroy that work in a matter of hours.

It's equally possible he didn't really want to do it, and he's just putting this out there as his public explanation.

Heh --we have no proof of that. I only goes by what was reported. I mean, if WB liked Ayer's pitch for SS, it's likely that Hardy also liked Ayer's script (screenplay?). Actor could only goes as far as to visualise how the film will turn out and it's possible that Hardy read a solid script.

Who is trolling?

It's a gamble. They got LOTR, HP, & TDK trilogy right but so far they haven't with this. It's not like the studio can't get it done, the Time Warner CEO needs to either clean the WB house or step down and let someone new take a crack at it. Seems to me like they have too many "yes men" in the building who've been around for decades. Same reason why Zack can get any movie made on the lot, all he has to do is ask Silverman and it's a done deal.

Yeesh I'm so glad I got to see it and enjoy it for what it was without foreign influence. They should just embargo these until after the film is out lol nobody knows how to form their own opinion anymore.

Because this is all under the same umbrella.

Those top three you mention?

Peter Jackson.
JK Rowling.
Christopher Nolan.

All in control.

There's your difference.

Yeah this is.more reason to nix Snyder if he is the overall guide to the universe.

I guess those reshoots really did hurt the movie.

And then Peter Jackson went insane and we got the Hobbit R-rated trilogy.
