800M will be tough to reach, considering Mexico's second largest theater chain won't screen the movie and China will most likely not screen it either.
I think it depends on reception by the GA. BvS got to $870m with China providing around $100m. This is already opening better in a lot of territories. Mexico will be a problem for a little bit, but they might fix that.

Nothing is better than Asylum movies.

Wow. It really IS a mess

A very entertaining mess. I liked it.

The good:
WIll SMITH
Harley

The disappointments:
The Joker

The bad:
The villain
The editing

Anyone know if the film is at least better than this?

Well, it's probably better than Sony's Sinister Six spinoff. :o

Thats strangely how it is for me with most Marvel movies. :/

I enjoy them more than DC films at theaters. Watch DC films more at home.

Same here actually. For the most part I think Marvel films are better made but I've seen BvS and MOS more than any Marvel film (other than Winter Soldier, effing love that). Even though I have huge problems with both films. But BvS is more watchable IMO. Every time I watch MOS I find something new wrong with it and it's really frustrating because Supes is my favorite character of all time.

I hope Suicide Squad is like BvS for me or better.

Very frustrated. Posting my full review in the "review" thread- but this is one of the rare times I agree with the critics. In a nutshell, a GREAT movie was butchered in the editing room, with an ill-fitting soundtrack and a reshot 3rd act that sticks out like a sore thumb. Not expecting a different cut on Blu-ray based on Ayer's comments, but honestly, it needs to happen, and in the future they can no longer rely on a Director's Cut after a sub-par Theatrical Cut. You can see exactly the THR article was talking about.

I'm not trying to claim false modesty because I am awesome so not very modest but I am always surprised to see some of you actually care about my opinion.

With all due respect, if only not to read your same complaints over and over for 3+ months. Really glad you liked it.

I didn't really think much of it, but it did a good job of showing Deadshot's as well as batman's human side

would be cool for him to maybe have a cameo or short role in Ben's movie.

Overall thoughts on the movie mate? you and I are on the same wavelength I think so I want your opinion! I actually decided not to go yesterday but since a lot of people here like it, I'm willing to put aside known production problems and give it a chance :)

He said with all due respect :o

That's supposed to make anything you say after it null and void

As frustrated as I was though, I would still recommend it because you can see all of the pieces of a great movie there- Margot Robbie alone is reason to see this movie. And my theater seemed to LOVE it.

This movie is really 2.5/5, but since I enjoyed it, it's more of a 3/5 or 6/10.

There's some really baffling choices made in the film, but the characters for the most part are introduced well and kept pretty faithful. Plenty of pieces to salvage from the film that can be used in a future Batman or another SS film down the line if we get one. But DC is definitely 0/2 this year, unfortunately.
