Supergirl Supergirl General Discussion Thread - - - Part 12

All I know, that thanksgiving scene was way too uncomfortable for what they seemed to be saying.

And they still hired Sorbo, who is know to be a bit of a bigger dick.

What did they say in the thanksgiving scene? I missed the ep.

It was just really, really uncomfortable when Alex came out to Jeremiah.

What coming out scene in any show has ever been comfortable? Unless it's a comedy and the parents begin laughing at the person and say they know already and have known for years.

I don't really think it's to do with anything that he hasn't shown up. After all, it's not like Cain suddenly changed his views drastically in the last 2 years or that Supergirl became a completely different show. They knew who he was all that time before when they used him and he knew what he was getting into before.

I think life just happens sometimes and people are occupied with other things, or the writers decide they don't want to tackle that story yet.

What happens if Dean Cain does show up later in the season or next season? What, suddenly there's not a problem anymore about any of his affiliations? All these theories will be out of the window.

I think you have the right of it. Esp as the show has been less bashy with liberalism this season.

Stephen Amell is a damn dirty tease. First the Jenson Ackles tweet. And now this.

Looks like it's just something for his wine company.

Definitely as no point hoping for a crossover with Smallville nor Tom Welling wearing the suit.

I can’t get enough of that trailer. I like seeing Superman standing in front of the trinity of Supergirl, Flash, and Green Arrow.

So, did he mess with Earth 3 or the 90's Flash is from a different earth...

The 1990 Flash could be Jay Garrick wearing a different suit that is done by Dr Destiny or Henry Allen from a different Earth.

There may see some legal issues with CBS about what they can and can’t use from the series.

Mentioned it in the Arrowverse thread, but did anyone else pick up on how they seem to be doing Black Superman?

Not sure what you're referring to specifically, but what i got from the promo is that he's summoned from another Earth by The Monitor and/or Dr. Destiny to take on our heroes.

Liking the sound of this crossover more and more.

Oh, I thought it was Dr Destiny as Superman since the switcheroo is this crossover's gimmick

Oh yeah, that didn't even occur to me, lol, but you're right, that does seem likely.

A switch could be possible, but I’d rather black suit Superman be a separate villain of his own.

He could kill Dr Destiny and take the Book for himself.

Unless he is switching his
body with a evil superman from another Earth, then I do not believe that he is switching bodies with the regular version of Superman since the set photos have shown them fighting each other.

According to the TV Insider article, Tyler stated that the Black Suit Superman fights everyone. That may include Dr Destiny.

Oh okay, then. Could've sworn it was a touch of Tinkerer shenanigans.

I don’t know how much (if anything) the originating network earns from a show once it goes off the air and is sold to syndication, DVD, etc. But after 30 years, I’m guessing CBS’s legal stake is small-to-none. WB produced/owns The Flash (1990); so it’s probably pretty easy for WB’s “Elseworld” crossover to get permission from itself. :cwink: In any case, it’s the CW (CBS/WB).

Ok regarding Elseworlds I’m now starting to think that 90s Flash is talking to someone saying I won’t let you do it to their world aswell etc he’s either talking to Black Suit Superman or the Monitor. If it’s the Monitor then we know he’s rewritten over realities on other Earths but if it’s black suit Superman maybe he destroyed 90s Flash’ earth. If not either and it’s Dr Destiny it has to mean that he also have a John Deegan on his world.

Damn. I missed them all. Part 1 was on 12 September, Part 2 on 12 October and Part 3 on 12 November? :argh:
That's not possible they didn't start filming the crossover episodes until mid October nor did any of the shows start their seasons until then.

I believe this is date format humor. (DD/MM/YY, MM/DD/YY, etc., etc.) :cwink:
