I doubt they were all wracking their brains for ideas and finally suggested a musical episode as a last resort. More likely they just saw all the musical talent and thought it would be a great idea now that everyone's on the CW.

I darker, but less serious. Buffy was as serious, and even more so in many ways, as any of the DC shows. In fact it was that seriousness that made the show less likable for me near the end.

Disagree but leave it at that cause this arguments getting boring real fast. I watched Buffy back in the day and to me it was always on the cheesy side, and the actors certainly weren't portraying it as seriously as the actors now in the DC shows IMO.

TO ME the musical episodes are a big risk as they will alienate some fans. It's like taking an episode of Glee and making it a no singing episode that's a slapstick comedy. It's gonna alienate some fans. End of the day other shows have people that can sing but that doesn't mean they make a musical episode. To me it's a huge turn off for the series and I certainly am not looking forward to the episodes.

I also heard from my baby sister who loves comic's as much as I do (I got her hook on them as kid )that the flash 's flash point event will possibly reach into super girls show possiblly and that will be what merges her earth with the Flarrowverse's earth 1 making her earth one and the same earth 1 I hope that comes true.

Me too. Right from the source, right!:gngl:

The episode where Buffy's mother dies. Or the one where Xander loses his eye. Or the one where Willow rips the flesh off the man who shot her girlfriend through the heart. Or the one where Buffy is nearly raped by Spike... 'nuff said!:yay:

Your talking storyline I was talking about actors. The actors in the DC stuff to me definitely play it more serious. Yeah Buffy got into stuff way more shall we say graphic but not all the time. In the DC shoes the actors play it straight more often.

Anyway were getting off track point been I still think a musical episode alienates the audience and is to silly for the DC shows.

Okay. We'll disagree, but I will say that they did some damn fine acting on that show!:cwink:

But Miss Martian. Awesome right?!

Or the one where Buffy sacrifices herself for humanity, or where she is ripped out of heaven, and perfect bliss... lol OOOR the one where she has to kill the man that she loves. Fun stuff.... ;)

A 43-year-old M'gann? Eh, if she has a similar personality to her Young Justice counterpart I'll be happy.

lol oh lord that musical in buffy . I just remembered which one I preferred between buffy and Xena's musical's. they were both weird and odd and out of place. but I think was down with Xena's. though I bet I'll still have he same initial reaction of what happening? why are they singing? including characters thatwould never be causght doing that.

lol if it happen in arrow with Oliver that will be the only reason to see an episode since I dropped it. .

yeah that is weard. I wanted to see kara mentor her. like alex mentors her. unless they are gonna push she's a teen in alien year's like how dog year's are different from human year's. bahhhhhh. it's just weird

yes this is good news indeed shye's coming with mon el too.

Read it now on CBR...

Shhhh that's my source

According to TV Guide they are not merging the different earths....if that is the case....I'm certainly happy with this revelation.

I hope it is the case with the earths being merged. it'll be easier for more simple guest star appearance's on each show instead of major crossover's all of the time and then have to going the slider route. with out having to jump between earths alot. I know i wouldn't mind the latter. but I think that should be an occasional thing and they should visit unexplored one if that's ever used.

I read the tv guide article. I hope they do decide to merge them later when they don't feel so overwhelmed with the current stories. I absolutely don't like the idea of Supergirl/Superman in one sandbox and Flarrowverse sitting in another. The portal jumping gimmick is lame. Talk about about crippling yourself. That is what Marvel has done to itself on TV. I was hopping DC wouldn't put itself in this situation. No point to dreaming about adding some A-list heroes now if they will be separated. They must unify the two earths if they want to maximize their potential.

yeah that is weard. I wanted to see kara mentor her.

Me too. I was hoping for a cycle of mentorship - Martian Manhunter taught Supergirl how to use her powers and in turn Supergirl teaches Miss Martian how to use her powers. But, the actor cast as Miss Martian looks incredibly young. And it makes sense that an alien would adopt the guise of an adult human (as opposed to a teenager) since it allows much more freedom.

Hopefully, Miss Martian's personality resembles that of the character from "Young Justice". They could even have the same premise for Miss Martian choosing her human "disguise" - it's based on the star of a popular sitcom, just one with an adult lead rather than a teenage lead.

According to TV Guide they are not merging the different earths

Hallelujah. There's absolutely no reason to other than "pandering", which would derail the show faster than almost anything else I can think of.

They pandered by giving some fans the musical crossover. I'll still keep hope alive for a merger. If it becomes clear they never will then I can walk away. I want a unified DC TV universe like the DCEU.

Doing a musical crossover isn't "pandering"; it's taking full advantage of the tremendous musical talent of close to a dozen of their cast members and fulfilling an interest that both Greg and Andrew have themselves expressed in the past.

We already have one.

And a merging of universes would be making better use of their wide cast of characters by making it easier to have them cross over.

It's already quite easy for them to do crossovers across the dimensional/multiversal barriers without merging the universes.

The Legends of Tomorrow, Barry Allen, and Cisco Ramon all have the ability to cross dimensions, and you could possibly add Wally and Jesse to that list should they end up becoming Metahumans post-Flashpoint (we already know Wally is a speedster in the "Flashpoint" reality).

Exactly. Right now the only ones crossing over are the Flash with a device strapped to his chest and as of yet seen method for Supergirl. The rest of the respective casts would have a devil of a time taking that field trip. Just bite the bullet and write a solution like in the comics.

it does make things a bit more difficult Especially with cross overs with the ones they like to plan . and unless it's multiple earth crisis deal it won't make sense cause they are making exploring the multiverse type thing just cause they want see kara or need her help. it would ea\ire now they are the same station. and the cross over of earth should be ether occasional if they have stories for it. not some done often. unless they want a show like sliders which about exploring that totally or Fringe (that went with half way)

You want numerous members from one cast to cross dimensions? Load them up in the Waverider, and problem solved.

It's really not the issue that you and some other people are trying to make it out to be, and the fact that merging the universes has never even come up in conversation (as per Greg via TVGuide) pretty much proves it.

So am I and I am happy about this whole thing.
