Superman Returns Superman Returns:Final Thoughts

What were they ?

The major one and most ridiculous to me was the fact that the microwave...waves...vaporize water miles away but has no effect on the human body. Made no sense.

Granted that is not as bad to me as the X3 plothole which completely ruined my fun experience once it hit the final frame.

Another plothole was the fact that Bruce Wayne saved the poor criminal farmer from death by sword and then ended up killing him or injuring him in the explosion.

All movies, especially comic book movies have plotholes, Superman Returns and Batman Begins included. Some are so minor and some are huge. The point is that Begins in my opinion was the best Batman movie to date, I enjoyed it, but it's not a masterpiece. Neither is Superman Returns, it's not the "greatest movie ever made".

The only reason I compared it to Batman instead of Spiderman is because I dont like Spiderman. I like Batman.

I understand, to me it's just two different types of heroes. Spiderman and Superman have more similarities. Batman and Superman are polar opposites in regards to personality.

They all also, strangely enough, seem to have female actresses that get teared apart by the fanboys as not being good for the role; Katie Holmes, Kirsten Dunst, Kate Bosworth, Jessica Alba etc

Some don't like the actresses, some do. I for one thought they all did fine for what they were paid to do. Although I didn't see FF, so I can't comment on Alba.

and just what is THAT supposed to mean?... In order to be a Superman fan, I have to like everything, including a crappy movie?

What is that supposed to mean? YOU, yes you... YOU always complain about EVERYTHING. Yes... I repeat, you always complain about EVERYTHING.

I'm a huge fan of Superman for many years, which it means I'm a TRUE fan of Superman. I loved Superman Returns. I loved "Lois & Clark". I loved "The Adventures of Superman". All of them rocked. I never complain. Ok, I did complained about "Superboy" cuz John Newton can't fly properly.

But whatever you want. Go ahead and complain for all you care. Act like 3 yrs old.

EDIT:

Of course he's a fan of Superman, and so am I, but he and I are not fans of Singerman. And the plane rescue scene was stupid.

The plane rescue scene was stupid. Ok... this is your opinion.

In my opinion, I thought it was absolutely fantastic. That was pretty intense and... KA-BOOM! Fantastic. I wish they could do the same thing from "Superman The Animated Series" Episode 3 - "The Last Son of Krypton".

come on dudes..calm down..the internet was created for people like us to complain about anything and everything.. if not that to download porn.

;)

oh really, EVERYTHING SUPERMAN?
okay... tell me then, since you know so much about me. Other than SR, what do I like and hate about Superman?

I mean you would obviousely know, right?... I mean, you know what I like and hate about Superman... so please... tell everyone what I like and hate about him.

but if we go by your own words and say that if you complain even once about Superman, that means you're not a "true" fan, then by your own words, you are not a true fan.

here's a little tip: THERE IS NO ULTIMATE FAN.

I disagree 100% on that. What made it stupid?

To me it was the most realistic and breathtaking rescue every seen on film from Superman and maybe any other superhero.

The part where Superman grabs the plane's wing, and then it breaks. I saw nothing breathetaking about it.

I have no final thoughts on this movie,or the suit.

I didn't either, I mean the scene is cool but It just doesn't do much for me. I respect it and it looks like it would make for interested "how they did it?" segment on the DVD but it just didn't grab me the way it grabbed some other people...to each his own though.

I never seen anything that you liked but I see something that you hate about Superman Returns. You complained about the suit that is dark. The movie takes place after Superman II.

I don't mind that Superman Returns takes place after Superman II at all.

here's a little tip: THERE IS NO ULTIMATE FAN.

Hmmm... *looking around this thread* there is a member who is ULTIMATE FAN.

Oh wait... I know what you're talking about. Yeah, there is no ULTIMATE FAN. But whatever. :whatever:

Who even cares. I'm not going to bother to argue with you.

It was getting pretty heated. You know? I feel good today, so I'm going to try to keep the arguments to a medium.

Yeah, I did... but what does that have to do with Superman II?

and actually you're wrong... SR does not take place after Superman II. It is a vague sequel from STM AND SII, which means it pulls story elements from both STM and SII.

it is it's own movie. Get your facts straight.

you're the one that brought it up... don't start what you can't finish.

Of course, I was the one who brought it up but I'm not going to continue to argue with you.
