Survivor: One World

I just saw someone describe Colton as Hilly Holbrook from The Help.

Seems fairly spot-on.

Racist, elitist piece of ****. Please tell me my earlier prediction/desire for multiple merges is going to come true so there is at least a small chance someone will man or woman up and put Cotton in his place.

From EW's Dalton Ross (who does a weekly Survivor recap/interview with Jeff Probst that gives that insight):

Jonas decides to return back to his camp to do what he does best — talking out loud about what a mastermind Colton is. Jonas reminds me of Stevie on Eastbound & Down, the disturbing guy who keeps going on about how incredible Kenny Powers is, even if there is little-to-no evidence to support that finding.

:lmao: So true.

Nice! Perfect description of Jonas.

To be honest, the cast is entertaining, just really dumb, with some ***** added in.

I have been enjoying the season, it definitely isn't boring.

Probst's tease for next week:

Jeff Probst said:
Next week — history repeats itself. Good luck figuring that one out — even after it happens. In fact, a free buff for the first person who guesses correctly what I am referring to re: history…repeats…itself.

Hmm....Colton refuses to use the idol and gets blindsided? Another tribe gives up immunity?

The first thing I thought of was the men giving up immunity again, this time to really get rid if Leif. I don't really see that happening, though.

From the preview, it looks like something unexpected happens prior to a challenge. Merge or team reschuffle? Maybe Colton gets blindsided as a result?

I was enjoying it until last night. Last night's episode, seeing Bill brought to near tears by Colton degrade his life....it felt wrong to watch.

I'm trying to think, has there been an occurrence in Survivor history where a tribe swap has resulted in a massive blindside? Maybe a repeat of Jeri's vote out in All-Stars? Someone will cut a deal with the other tribe to protect another player? It could just be a repeat of James not using his idol. In fact Colton even said last week, "I'm not James." Foreshadowing?

You're probably on the right track. If I had to guess, it would most likely be Colton going home with the idol in his pocket. Man, a blindside of him would be fun to watch ...

Could Colton be on his way to being the most hated player in Survivor history?

I mean FairPlay was kind of amusing, Russell definitely had his fans (I'm one), Phillip seemed more dumb than evil ... Just a couple that come to mind.

There is only one person I can think of who even compares....Naonka. That ***** pushed over a handicapped, one-legged player and then bragged about it. She was all kinds of vile. But Colton is quickly on his way to being just as bad if not worse.

The thing is, with "evil," players in the past (Rich Hatch, Brian, Fairplay, Russell, etc)...their "evil," always seemed like part of the game and was more just ruthless strategy. In recent seasons, the villains have been more personally despicable than strategically. Naonka and Colton are two shining examples of that.

I did forget about her. She was a perfect mixture of evil and ignorance.

Boy, the men tribe is a collection of idiots! Apart from the whole "Let's give up our immunity" thing which was stupid enough they also said they wanted to vote out a player they didn't trust to stay loyal after the merge... From what I've seen Colton is still by far the most likely player to switch sides and yet Tarzan seems completely oblivious to that fact.

Why did Bill and Lief agree to give up the immunity? If my neck was on the chopping block then nothing short of being given a million dollars would have made me give up immunity (ok I'd have done it for $100.000 since I like sure things :)).

It just doesn't make sense to vote out a member now since you could easily lose a challenge later and then have to vote out someone you like. It always pays to have a buffer in place just in case things go badly. If your worried about someone switching then I don't see the difference between someone from the other tribe going or the person on your tribe going, in the end the other possible alliance gets smaller....

Without a doubt these are some of the most pathetic players the show has ever seen. Ok, maybe I should say that they are collectively the most pathetic as there do some to be some smart players who are just getting caught up in all the stupidity.

Not sure what they're doing next week but if they do mix the tribes again and Colton is changed to the Salani tribe then wouldn't his immunity idol be useless? Because isn't it for the Manono tribe only? That would be awesome because his support blanket would be of limited value except as a bargaining chip.

I thought Bill's exit speech was very classy...instead of bashing Colton, he made the very mature comment "Colton dislikes me for my differences, but I accept him for his".

The men were ****ing stupid. I refuse to believe a bunch of grown men wouldn't have the balls or the smarts to blindside that prick Colton. It'd be incredibly easy as well since racist gayboy is too high on his power trip to even see it coming.

Maybe they are all playing this game to far ahead? Colton is the perfect individual to take to the final three with you since he doesn't stand a chance in hell of getting any votes if he keeps doing what he's doing.

It's way to early to be thinking like that imo, it's far more important to have people around who are likely to stick around. Colton will betray anyone without hesitation given the smallest reason to do so.

The thing is, Phillip Shepard never had any real power. Remember how often he would complain about Andrea and the other girls of his tribe? Rob would humor him and then vote off the most advantageous person, not the person who pissed Phillip off. If you are planning to carry someone to the end, you cannot let them have actual power.

I think Colton is just a loud bully and that is what is fascinating about Survivor. Grown men, who would never take **** from someone like him under other circumstances cower before him because he is loud and aggressive.

I can not understand how he did not get one Vote at all. How can these guys at least not want to have thrown 4 votes his way. I know if I thought I was being voted out I would have stood up and said, "okay, I might be going home but I am voting for Colton, at least 3 others should so you can at least flush out the idol".

Tarzan(mustache guy) must like Colton in more than a "friend" kind of way because he seems to be so far up his @ss its not funny.

Never ..ever.. have I hated someone on a TV show so much... not because he is gay, but because of they way he acts.. makes me not want to watch, but then you have the hot Asian Chick.... so I continue to watch.

Colton is a horrible representative for the gay community and I give CBS a major thumbs down for casting such an over-the-top stereotype...

But why not? It's not CBS' responsibility to paint the community in a positive light. They've put several detestable straight people on, should I express disappointment over that? Say what you want about Colton as a person (Lord knows I have), but it's not CBS' fault.

In terms of Survivor, they are fairly balanced in their casting. There have been gay castaways who represent the best of homosexuality and those who represent the worst. Just as there have been white, straight men who represent the best (Terry comes to mind) and the worst (Fairplay). There have been black people who represent the best of the community (James) and the worst (Naonka). Survivor has always been balanced in it's casting. I'll give the producers credit for that. It is like real life. There is good in every demographic and bad. They reflect that.

I want one of the women to win the game, I don't care which one, just for them to take out the idiot men and "man" that are playing the game.

Speaking if that "man", what a piece of s***, calling Bill "ghetto trash" and all sorts of other names, calling Lief a Munchkin and making fun of him, who the hell is he to talk down to people, that girly man prances around like he has a ***** stuck up his ass, talks with the most annoying voice ever, and makes some of the most idiotic facial expression. I hope he/she doesn't make it to the merge.

...the tribe "scramble" didn't work like I'd hoped. It did give Colton the weaker tribe though.

So what was the "history repeating itself"? Just another voted off on a blindside, finding the immunity idol, surprise merge ... Not sure what Jeff could have been referring to. I was expecting something a little more shocking.

It's mind boggling how stupid some people are...Leif comes to mind...why didn't he go to the women and tell them what kind of *****e Colton was during the last tribal? It's not like the tribes didn't talk, they know how Colton orchestrated giving up the immunity idol. I liked Leif at the beginning of the game but he's turned into nothing more than a tool to be used by the actual strategic players in the game.

Alicia is also mind-numbingly idiotic; she can't see anything beyond the next tribal council so she simply votes on whatever her petty little issues are at the time.

Tarzan is quietly approaching the "Federal Agents" level of craziness. "The game is afoot, Jeff"?!? WTF?

Colton did nothing in this episode to lessen my absolute hatred for him. Between his pathetic screaming during the immunity challenge "Help meeeeee" to his obnoxious friggin eye rolls and body language. I only wish Jason would have held him under water for a minute or two longer during the challenge.

Not sure who's injured next week but nothing short of a game ending injury to someone else in that tribe will save Christine from going home.

That scream by Colton in the challenge was hilarious. My wife and I both looked at each and said "What the **** was that?!?"

Ridiculously one-sided tribes. Mike and Leif facing off in basketball? Seriously?

Although the main disappointment is that it did nothing to change the pecking order. Christina and Monica went from the bottom of a moderately bad tribe to...being at the bottom of an awful tribe.

I think we'll have a good season when we get to the merge though. Troy, Kim, Chelsea, Colton, Alicia have all got their hands in multiple pots, so there's lots of room for the game to keep changing.
