Survivor: One World

Luck of the draw really played a large part in this episode. It's incredible how nearly all of the power players ended up in one tribe and since the next few challenges are likely to be physical it could become very one sided.

I really wish people would turn on Colton, it's just incredible that none has even tried to get together an alliance against him.

EDIT:
So what was the "history repeating itself"? Just another voted off on a blindside, finding the immunity idol, surprise merge ... Not sure what Jeff could have been referring to. I was expecting something a little more shocking.

Apparently he was teasing a bit farther into the future so the past repeating itself isn't until next episode :)

How has Colton not got a single vote yet!?

If Colton makes even to the jury, not only will I consider this the worst season of Survivor yet, but I'll also not watch next season. Just on principle. :o

Don't believe so. I think the closest he came was when he announced he had the immunity idol and everyone backed off.

I think based on the preview it is pretty obvious how history is repeating itself. A player is going to leave the game for medical reasons.

Ridiculously one-sided tribes. Mike and Leif facing off in basketball? Seriously?

Although the main disappointment is that it did nothing to change the pecking order. Christina and Monica went from the bottom of a moderately bad tribe to...being at the bottom of an awful tribe.

I think we'll have a good season when we get to the merge though. Troy, Kim, Chelsea, Colton, Alicia have all got their hands in multiple pots, so there's lots of room for the game to keep changing.

I still have high hopes for Mike. He has shown glimmers of brilliance. When he stole the women's items on day one...brilliant. When he tipped off Colton that Leif and Bill were talking because he realized he was on the chopping block...brilliant. He pushed Colton's buttons perfectly. If he could get into a decent alliance he could do well.

Just a thought but could Colton's exaggerated persona be a creation for the show? He could still be a homosexual but he plays it more flamboyantly on the show and is obnoxious.

Similar to the tactic Richard Hatch used in the first Survivor.

No, Rich Hatch would've never given away immunity and **** like that. Rich Hatch put on a show, but there was strategic value to his show. Colton's has none. Plus Colton is making it personal, something Hatch never did.

Yeah, I was impressed by Mike in episode 4. He's already lost his closest ally but did a great job of keeping his head down, casually stirring the pot and somehow wasn't even a target.

Unfortunately he does seem to be the least-connected guy at the moment, being cut out of the misfit alliance AND the new Salani alliance. But he could end up sliding by under the radar for a while.

He really played that situation perfectly assuming that there was no chance of forming an anti Colton alliance at that point.

The problem with forming an anti-Colton alliance seems to be Jonas. He is obsessively in awe of Colton. Leif isn't cut throat enough to make a move like that. Tarzan is just senile.

Mike needs to use the tribe mix to reach out to Troy.

I really don't want to wish harm on anyone, but I hope Colton is the one who gets injured tonight. If not him, Alicia. We know someone is going to be injured. I hope it is one of them. Listen to the way that they are badgering Christina. It's just mean. Karma needs to prove that bad things happen to bad people.

And what does it say about Tarzan, Leif, and Jonas that they are just sitting there watching it? What kind of people does that make them? This is what I love about Survivor. It is such a fascinating character study. There is no advantage to keeping Colton or Alicia in the game (in fact, there are huge disadvantages to both), yet they are all so cowardly that they will stand idly by while Colton and Alicia are TERRIBLE to Christina for no reason at all, out of fear. It is really saying about all of them that they are this cowardly.

This cast is so horrific, I'm surprised they weren't chosen to participate on Big Brother, as opposed to Survivor. :o

If I were Christina I would be throwing this challenge. I would do whatever I could to deprive Colton and Alicia.

In fact, after Colton called her a "stupid ****ing idiot," for not running back from the platform quickly enough, I would go up there and stand on the platform.

Yeah, it's one thing to be a villain. However they seem to be just bullying Christina. I don't see the point of being so nasty to her if she's destined to go home already (because what are the chances her tribe wins?).

Honestly, the cast isn't that bad. It's just that we have so much focus on Colton and Alicia both of whom are just absolutely terrible people. Monica, Michael, Bill, Kim, Jay, Sabrina are/were all pretty interesting. Colton and Alicia just get all of the focus and drag it down. The producers really overestimated this season. Fans love a good villain, but the focus they put on these two make it unbearable because they are not even enjoyable as villains, just bad people all around and aren't fun to watch. It's not fun to watch a spoiled rich kid whose only contact with an African American was his maid, wish death upon people because he doesn't like their voice. It's not fun to watch Alicia threaten to hit people. This just isn't fun to watch.

I don't usually wish injury on people, but I am praying it is one of them who gets hurt tonight, because frankly, they deserve it.

I so despise Colton! I cannot believe these idiots following him & Alicia.

Of all the jerks that have been on this show, and there have been a few, Colton is hands down the worse.

Colton keeps criticizing everyone else for their challenge performances but he does NOTHING. He missed every attempt. He is worthless.

It makes me sad that Matt didn't stick around. He was an arrogant *****e, but wasn't mean spirited. He would've made a great villain. Colton is not a good villain. A good villain is terrible within the context of the game like Johnny Fairplay. As Jonas is pointing out, Colton is just terrible as a person. How Jonas and Leif can make these observations and do NOTHING says a lot about the two of them as human beings.

What does the tribe even see in him? I'm more boggled by that. How does anyone think that a guy that treats people so terribly would really by a stable ally?

Also: The little guy, Leif (?), is a real tiger. I'm always pleased to see him giving his best in the challenges.

Seriously, Coulton & Alicia are horrible people. Telling Christina jumping into the fire is an option? Just wow.

Is Christina seriously comforting Colton? WHY?!?!?! She should be laughing at him hysterically. And he is making fun of her for it of course....
