The main problem with Spider-Man 3 is that it didn't develop any of the characters; it was just a hodge-podge. Characters would just appear randomly with a plot device: Venom: "Hey Sandman, Spider-Man did wrong to you and your daughter, even though he doesn't even know she exists - wanna kill him?" or the good old butler who has about 2 lines in all three films combined suddently blurting out "Oh, Harry, sorry I didn't tell you this before you got your Harvey Dent look, but your dad was a maniac and killed himself..."[/QUOTE]
I know this is post is on the first page but I think the only reason why some people were confused were because they didn't have much knowledge than a normal Spidey fan will have. Like some people will know about the symbiote and stuff and how once you've been taken over by the symbiote and you've gotten rid of it the symbiote has all of your memories and stuff inside of it and the memories of the previous person inside of the symbiote is passed onto the next person.

Alright enough of the spidey talk, SM3 is a terrible film and they did not do the symbiote origin well at all, it was a thrown together CGI mess of a kids film.
