The Flash Teddy Sears IS Jay Garrick

For the most part I love the costume.....

But why did the colors still have to be muted.....dark??? And if they just had to do that, Why could the lightning bolt be a solid yellow or gold??? You can barely see it?

I agree, the only part of the uniform I don't like is the red bolt.
Should have been golden.

Love the costume but having gotten a better look at the boots I haveta say, I own a pair of similar boots and they are certainly NOT easy to run in!

Just been reading the old origin again - I think it's safe to say that there are two things which I assume will be changed. 1) Jay getting his speed from 'HARD WATER' and 2) smoking in the laboratory Jay. Really?! haha

Yeah...I wonder how they will change it?

Agreed..........something so small seems so big because they decided not to do it.....

I hope they will also explain the differences in their speeds such as Jay achieving speed of light faster while Barry can maintain it longer.

I have a feeling Jay will get his powers back before the mid-season finale .

Maybe it's just me, but Teddy (with his shorter haircut) looks and acts exactly like l always pictured Barry from the comics. No big deal; I love Grant as Barry, but Teddy really feels like the classic comic Barry to me.

I hope an Earth-1 Jay Garrick exists and is based in Keystone City.

He'd have to, right? He probably doesn't have powers but they said everyone has a twin in the other world (though of course he could be dead or something).

Also, loved the mention of Aquaman in last night's episode.

WHAT THE HECK ARE THEY DOING TO JAY GARRICK?? NO POWERS?? AND NOW WE FIND OUT HE'S SCARED OF ZOOM?? Why do they feel the need to soften a great character like this??

That mentioned Atlantis.....for all we know, his never sunk.

Same when Rick was on. Grant is a decent actor but Teddy feels like a better Flash. Seeing Jay in the opening scene reminded me of the comics a lot.

I just wish they scripted Jay better. He's only been the Flash for 2 years when he should have been the Flash for 5 to 10 years.

Also, they already have him established as slower than Barry so that makes him out to be a low rent Flash. Not a fan.

Why does it matter how long Jay has been The Flash when they're portraying him in parallel with Barry's own career?

Garrick has quite often been portrayed as "slower" than other Flashes. He's also been portrayed as believing that Barry and Wally would and have surpassed him in their exploits.

Because in the comics he was the Flash for 20 years longer than Barry. Jay doesn't feel much like a senior to Barry. Being the Flash for 1 year longer doesn't mean anything really.

And this Garrick is still young so it doesn't make sense for him to be slower yet. In the comics it made sense because he was older.

That's only because he's older in the comics... But he's been able to vibrate through walls and even travel between earths
