That scene of Wolverine marching up to Jean...

My only problem with this scene was that Wolverine wasn't obliterated like everything else. Are they trying to say that his adimantium is stronger than Jeans power?

It's the toughest substance known, virtually indestructible, so the molecular bonds are almost impossible to break; therefore, it stays together when other things are ripped apart.

Okay then. What about his skin? I had no idea he could heal that fast.

But yeah, other than that.. It was an okay scene. No way near my favorite in the movie, though.

jean did not wanted to kill him.

Hmm...maybe but do we really know what she wanted from the inside of her heart?

I don't think it was a matter of wanting or not wanting to kill, so much as it was, she was going to truly show her might.

She let Wolverine march up to her, because in her mind, he was a fool. "You would die for them?"

I see it as a "you have the gall to challenge my might, inferior creature?", and toying with him, of sorts, type of thing.

Jean played with Logan during this scene, much like a cat plays with a mouse before killing it. She never intended to do him permanent harm; she was merely "testing" him.

I thought the scene was well done. Out of continuity, but well done nonetheless.

No wonder. :( I've been wondering where you've been all this time. I missed you. :)

Anyway...

I like the close up shots of Jean during the battle.

yay a positive post! i loved it (the scene and the movie). i mean yes, it should have been scott, but like you said, Wolverine loved her too. the whole scene was just...cool. even though i almost died when he actually stabbed her because jean is my fav. lol but it was probably the best ending of the three. not my fav scene, but still a good one :)

I liked the Scene...but I wished he didn't say I love you...he could have said, "be well" in the novel. other than that, I cried when Jean cried "Save me..." and the look on her face was so depressing... gotta hand it to Janssen for those emotional scenes - the part when she says "Kill me...before I kill someone else" and tears fall out of her eyes, and then when she says "Kill me," again; when she screams "No! Stop it" and the glass shatters on her and she turns her head away. Oh and when Xavier says "You are a danger to yourself.." it cuts to a shot of Janssen about to lose control over her emotions. Oh and might I add the deleted scene from X1 of Jean and Xavier...how I wished that scene was included in the final cut of the film. "I know...I lost control..." "I just don't want to see you get hurt." "What is it?" "I sometimes wonder if I should have involved all of you into this. Just let you live your own lives." "Well...I can't speak for the others...but it wouldn't have been much of a life without you." then she gets up and kisses his bald head and leaves. Man, what a strong and an emotional scene. aww. It showed the bond between Teacher and student. sends shivers down my spine. Even though those scenes/shots of Jean in X3 I mentioned earlier in my post are short but I still felt how she felt by understanding how she fits into the X-Men universe emotionally and ... damn my mind just went blank. lol.

so true!

I also like to note that when Logan stabs Jean, it puts closer to their relationship and Jean meets Scott in Mutant Heaven er I should call it the White hot room.

"Jean?"

"Scott?"

"How?"

"I don't know..."

They hug.

oh no. its happening again :p

^^^ I think by then Scott would be mad because she hurt his feelings by killing him

same here. I think its the best scene of the whole series but if you watch the deleted scene between Jean and X, the bond they shared and their battle in her house makes it more emotional...

Actually that deleted scene makes Xavier's demise completely out of the story and wrong, since the deleted scene shows she felt absolutely no resentment towards teh guy. Only 100% pure love and respect. I smell another plothole...

No I mean it makes you think of the love and respect she had for him up to X3 and knowing what happens to X, her kissing his bald head gives me goosebumps...

Yeah, same here. Except I get those goosebumps because what happens in X3 is completely wrong if you take this scene into consideration. Not so much as a surprising turn of events and a deep hatred we didn't know she had, but something that shouldn't have happened because of bad writing.

Well, if you think about it, Phoenix has the hatred, not Jean. At the time of X1, Jean has no idea what Xavier has done to her. But in X3 the secret's out, and she's (IMO) understandably pissed off.
