Comics The '07 X-Event: Endangered Species, Messiah Complex, & Disassembled

I'm sure your girlfriend doesn't need telepathy to catch you doing that. :woot:

ok...so checking out the next girl's arse AND imagining all the nasty naughty things you would do to her....outside...in the butter creamery....with a pepperoni log...and whip cream and strawberries.

Am i the only one who thinks this event will be useless and nothing will really happen?:whatever:

This Event will be huge. It will finally address and clean up everything from House of M. It is what I have been waiting for since HoM messed everything up lol.

Like mentally cheating on her with another telepath? :oldrazz:

Is it cheating if its just in your head? i've fantasized many different freak nasty with oil and whip cream scenarios in me head. i havent gone out and acted on any of them...yet

Here's how Marvel describes the issue:

"Join The Astonishing X-Men, X-Factor and the New X-Men for the first steps towards the fate of the entire mutant race."

X-Men: Endangered Species will be 32 pages and will cost $2.99.

hmmm. i am thinking that this WILL mimic the story of Children of Men..only with the X-verse's flair for the dramatic and style

Read spoilers on another board.

It's some kid's funeral and the one-shot is all about people talking.

Well, obviously no kid we know since they flat out state that he didn't go to Xavier's.

Sorry, by "kid", I meant anything that qualified as mutant, jailbait and not evil.

But yeah, there's a scene dealing with why the X-men showed up to the funeral even though he wasn't "one of theirs".

Heh, told everyone that the death would be no one of importance. :p

No the person whom died was't important but what his death symbolizes is. it is one less mutant in a world where no others are being born.

How do you think they will make mutants start being born again then?
cos if they don't X-men will end. they've cut the amount of mutants down and now there's no more being born...!

I think it's inevitable that one day they'll fix the 'no more mutants' problem, just hope that they won't simply use Scarlet Witch to do it.

The X-Men can't end... The Original Five have been tooling around for more than 40 years folks... :woot:

Marvel could carry on to the end of existence with the crew we're looking at now if it wanted to.

yeah I agree. They wouldn't have to fix the problem. The current 200ish mutants around are enough to fuel the line ups for a long time. Specially considering main stay characters life expectancy.

It would be nice to have some new ones show up again though.

Therein lies the problem with the Marvel Universe... There are really four ways to get new characters into the lineups.

1. Actually have the timeline progress a little and let our current heroes get older.
2. Have a bunch of characters die and replace them.
3. Have a bunch of characters go into limbo and replace them.
4. Flood the market with new books to put new heroes in.

No. 1 doesn't work because Marvel has made it plain that they're not advancing the timeline any... Hell, Joe Q wants current characters to seem YOUNGER.

No. 2 doesn't work because Marvel's always afraid to off their characters, fearing that the fans will reject it. That, and the dead ones that are popular ALWAYS come back.

No. 3 doesn't work because then you'd have dozens of heroes just sitting around in limbo... and it would slowly eat away at the stories. I mean, what villain could possibly be a threat when there're 40 MIA X-Men just waiting to be needed?

And No. 4 doesn't work because flooding the market would kill any company.

So it's not easy to get new characters in there...
