Nooo, no resemblence at all. :whatever:

None. But it didn't matter, DiCaprio was great.

I don't think similarities in looks matters too much, obviously to a degree it's important to merely identify with the character, but as long as the actor embodies the persons personality, traits, mannerisms than the film will work. Leo did this and deserves ever praise he got for the film

^Say that to the people still crying over Robert Downey's role in Iron Man. The fact that he hyped it up last night proves that he's excited about the role, which means we will get some A-list caliber acting.

I think with the goatee and suit he pretty much nails the look, my only issue with RDJ is his voice is usually a little too whiny for how I picture starks. Nevertheless I'm absoloutly hyped for his performance, he is a superb actor, and will hit the role out of the park. Also did anyone notice he was putting on a sort of voice/accent last night, could he be changing his tone slightly to suit the character?

RDJ hyped up Iron Man last night?
I guess I wasn't fully paying attention, but man, he looked like Tony.

The Oscars were great last night.
The only things that made me sad was Eddie Murphy not getting Best Supporting Actor and Pan's Labyrinth not winning Best Foreign Picture.

I am glad that every major film got at least 1 academy award.

^^^^Upset City for Eddie Murphy, Pan's Labrynth not taking the Best Foreign Film....and, not even 3 Best Original Song Nominations out of 5 could land a win for Dreamgirls. What was the point of even nominating them?

I can understand the Fountain being too polarizing for any directorial or best pic noms, but nothing for Jackman's performance or the effects or especially Mansell's score? Boo-urns.

The Fountain was too out there even for the artsy fartsy.

"Except you Mark Wahlberg, you're actually kind of badass."

That quote absolutely made my day.

I love Jennifer Hudson but that brown dress and that jacket was down. The red dress during the preformance was great except she was about to pop out of her dress. Oh and Anika and Jennifer completely out sang Beyonce too.:o

Ellen was pretty good too!

The shadow people were really weird. But the sound effects were even better.

Yay for the Departed.:woot:

Flexo's fury has never been this fiery red.

I like Alan Arkin and all but i think Dijmon had the best supporting actor performance and should have won. I think Jack had good enough perfromance but really Matt Damon should have been in there or Mark as much as Jack. But why bother having Jack there to rub it in he didn't get nominated when he was good enough for A Golden Globe nod.

Forest Whitaker is a good actor but Will Smith got robbed in my book. Pans Labyrinth should have won and Children Of Men was such a good movie to not get more.

Dreamgirls star Eddie Murphy was so devastated after losing the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award to Alan Arkin he stormed out of the ceremony, according to press reports in the US, including Roger Friedman of FoxNews.com. Murphy was the favorite to win the Oscar, which instead was awarded to Little Miss Sunshine star Arkin. The 45-year-old tried to downplay his disappointment telling American publication Us Weekly, "It's fine. It happens. It's OK." But shortly thereafter, Murphy and girlfriend Tracey Edmonds left the show and didn't return. Murphy missed out on his Dreamgirls cast mates Beyonce Knowles, Jennifer Hudson and Anika Noni Rose performing songs from the film, as well as Hudson's win for Best Supporting Actress.

Damn.

In The Departed? He made Jack pull his pants down and spanked his ass red.

Jack played Crazy Jack. Leo played Billy Costigan.

Jack made that movie... the plot was trivial, contrived, heck it was a remake of a better film made few years back... Nicholson made that movie and Leo was a tool... he didn't deserve an Oscar let alone a nonination for Departed... he'll have to wait a couple more years before he gets his hardware
