I thought the whole construction building set piece showed (yes, showed not told) Batman's talent for multitasking with beautiful clarity.

Yeah Bruce is brilliant when it comes to handling complex situations like that.

That scene, by the way, has to be my favorite scene in the fillm for that reason. Batman really has it in control until the fight with the Joker.

I hated the Prewitt Building scene.

The shattered Bullet was more effective to me

Am I the only one who can enjoy both Batman when he is adapted to film and just regular old Batman stories? They both bring something different to the table, and when the films are done as well as Goyer and the Nolans have given us, it's all the sweeter.

I feel exactly the same way.

To each his own, I guess. :woot: But Batman kicked some Joker Goon and Swat butt in that building. But the very end frustrated me.

I mean, come on Batman! Can't you turn off the sonar thing so you can get a better idea of where the Joker is?

I guess we will have to wait for the reboot to see a detective Batman because I don't think this films narrative will afford room for Bats to do much (if any) detective work.

Sigh....These are times I dream about my David Fincher helmed Batman film. A low(er) budgeted, more deliberately paced film comprising a LOT of incredible detective work from Batman to oust the villain from hiding and confront him/her.

This image is really bugging me (in a good way)...why exactly is Blake drawing these?

To the discussion in the last thread about Bruce's intellect in the Comics vs. in the Nolanverse:

I too love the comics and admire the absolute genius of Bruce in the books.
But Nolan's approach is a journey for us to take along with Bruce and his learning of how to deal with the responsibilities of his choice to become a more than a man, not to mention his evolution through this interpretation of Gotham.

It's more interesting for us to take this Journey if we learn with this character rather than just admire him for his gadgets and intellect. Plus it's his intellectual dependency on the likes of Fox, Gordan and Alfred that give Bruce, and those characters more substance. That's the beauty (and intent) of it.

If he didn't have these flaws we couldn't grow with him as well. Instead there would be a lot less in depth discussions on this thread about him. We would just leave short complaints about "Why didn't he just use something out of the Black Hole that is his utility belt?"

That's what I love about Nolans Batman, it's not the weekly Batman we get to read about, but he's a more realistically flawed Batman that tips his cowl, so to speak, to the comics as well.

Annnnd.... end rant.

A way of communicating with members of the resistance. We had a set video of a camo tumbler or the bomb truck rolling down a snowt street; Blake ran behind it and scrawled one on the side of a building.

I thought it was pretty obvious? He's doing it, so the people of Gotham will take a picture on their phones, tweet it, and they'll get a movie trailer.

I always wonder why he didn't use the Crime Repellent Spray.

I still think it's the mark of particular sides in a Bane controlled Gotham.

The people with Batman's resistance leave this mark on certain areas to signify hope through this symbol.
Just a speculation. :)

It reminds me of No Man's Land when they would tag Batman symbols on walls to remind people Batman was around and the areas under his protection.

Thanks for the clarification, Dr. Alligator!

:funny:

Definitely. I think it was one of the good examples of Bruce using his detective skills.

I don't hate any part of TDK.

It did, but I thought it was pretty corny.

Apparently A+nothingidoisgoingtomakesense+C= a fingerprint.
