The guy right at the back, putting his leg out behind the wall. He doesn't appear as urgent as the others. And Bane has watched Batman in action in the comics.

It could be one of those movie mistakes where the guy in the back is actually a camera man trying to get a shot from behind :funny:

Oh snap, Nev wasn't the one to end the last thread.

Quick question. It was confirmed that Liam Neeson filmed some stuff for Rises right? I'd love to see Ras again

Damnit. Sometimes, I hate hate Thread Manager...

:o

Anyways...

Right. Batman isn't very trusting of people at all. (Bruce isn't either, at any rate.)

Maybe the women will be his weakness in this one, if Catwoman and Tatelia are any indication. :o

Or well, he probably doesn't give Tatelia a second chance. :hehe: Catwoman would have to do something VERY drastic to get Batman to trust her if he knows she's aligned with Bane at the beginning. Maybe she'd even try to take on Bane herself (or sabotage one of his plans), then Bats would know her redemption is true.

I actually think he never totally trusts Catwoman. I think he realizes that he has no choice.

As for Talia...

You see, I'm really hoping that both women end up covered in many shades of gray. I'm sort of expecting one of them to kill Bane, mostly in order to "save" Batman from the doing it. In the end, we have two women who are neither good nor bad. It could end up being fascinating on a psychological level.

What I think it may end up being is that Talia starts out good and Catwoman starts out bad, but by the end, Talia is bad and Catwoman is good.

What I hope happens is that Talia starts out good and Catwoman starts out bad, but by the end, neither can be pinned down.

I think he might align himself with Catwoman more because of necessity rather than him completely trusting her. She might end up falling for him (romantically or some hero worship thing) but I'm not convinced that the feeling will be mutual. I mean this guy was grieving over Rachel for 8 years and he might end up falling for Tatelia and then getting betrayed by her. I can't see him falling that fast again. Too much stuff going on.

sorry if this has been answered, but what is that stuff that is exploding around bane in puffs of smoke in the new mtv footage? is that bat bombs or something?

I just don't see much time for romance to develop with everything going on. Hopefully not just a hot physical attraction, either. But perhaps a moment between them of 'if things turned out differently' would be nice.

I want to see Batman and Catwoman have sex with their masks on. :o

Bruce Wayne...?

Well, not emotionally, but he trusts her enough to give her the damn Batpod with all of its live ammo. :oldrazz: At least he trusts that they are on the same page with regards to Bane and the immediate mission, that's what I mean.

In BB and TDK, he thoroughly vetted people before he allows them to help him directly. And even then the list is really small - Alfred (obviously), Lucius, and Gordon. And Rachel did her bit in BB.

It sounds kinda similar to this scene though:

http://herocomplex.latimes.com/2011...r-anne-hathaway-gotham-city-is-full-of-grace/

Gotham City is a war zone. A ruthless madman named Bane has ripped away any sense of security and the citizens, haggard and clutching suitcases with refugee anxiety, sit behind barbed wire waiting to see what will blow up next. A hooded prisoner is dragged in – it’s Bruce Wayne, one of Gotham’s most famous faces – but the eyes of the crowd go instead to the woman in black standing at the top of the staircase.

“Sorry to spoil things, boys, but Bane needs these guys himself,” says sultry Selina Kyle, played here by actress Anne Hathaway, navigating the steps with stiletto heels that, on closer inspection, turn out to have serrated edges capable of leaving nasty claw marks in a fight. She also wears high-tech goggles that, when not in use, flip up and resemble feline ears.

But yeah I can see that being Gordon too.

Well now we know the runtime and it was right where we all suspected. I am fine with 2 hours 45 minutes. Seems just about right for the story I think Nolan is trying to tell.

I mean I would have been fine with 3 hours+ as well. But hey I love Batman.

For what we have seen so far I think Nolan has truly crafted an epic and satisfying ending to his Batman series. Come July 20th all us Batman fans are in for something truly special.

The guy being slammed down I think is Reese, which maybe how Bane discovers's Bruce's Identity.

Bruce Wayne...?

What I take away from this little snippet is seeing how Bane has set up shop. Notice the wire fencing on the side of the walls with bob wire on top? Reminds me of the wire bars we see in the sewer/prison.

It'll likely be necessity, as you said. As far as romance... after Tatelia, I think he won't want it. But I would be shocked if he didn't, at the very least, see something in Catwoman that he found intriguing. Another with a dual personality who wears a mask (even if it isn't meant to hide her identity)... I could see him, perhaps out of desperation, seeing a kindred spirit in her.

He's going to be kind of forced into a partnership with her. Not like he's going to treat her like a sidekick (I doubt she'd allow that, anyways), but he may end up in a position where he needs all the help he can get, and she's the best there is by that point.

In BB and TDK, he thoroughly vetted people before he allows them to help him directly. And even then the list is really small - Alfred (obviously), Lucius, and Gordon. And Rachel did her bit in BB.

Alfred's the only one he didn't vet because Alfred has already done that by raising him for so many years. But you are right. He will definitely vet her.

Why choose her, why not like, Blake? :oldrazz:

But anyway, since she'd been aligned with Bane and has seen how he works, she could very well know some of his weaknesses that a normal cop would not. That's the only reason (besides liking how she looks in that suit :jedi ) that I could think of.

And well, Bruce didn't have to vet Rachel either. :oldrazz: He knows both of them well enough from the past. But he did quite a bit of detective work on Gordon, and liked Lucius almost immediately since he'd worked with his father. And even then he looked like  when Alfred brought him in to treat him for the fear gas. :funny: And when Lucius played along, Bruce figured he was all right.

None of those four have ever betrayed him. It will take quite a bit for Batman to trust Catwoman with his weapons, especially if she's on Bane's side at the beginning. I can't wait to see what that will be. :applaud
