I love how they claimed Tyler Hoechlin was being considered (which was crap because Affleck was cast at the beginning of the year)
Then they turn around and say, once they hear Batman is to be older, that the source now said Tyler was off...Because he was too young all of a sudden....****ing hilarious.

They appear legit. ..but this mysterious source they have, who is never directly quoted, is pretty BS himself. ...if he exists

I am so for either Dalton or Brosnan being Alfred. But I want them with really gray hair or to go bald/balding, and I am not sure if either would.

Alfred, imo, should be just as tired and weary as Bruce is as Batman. But with one exception. Using his humour in doses, just to brighten his last few remaining years.

Dalton's doesn't need to do that. His current amount of hair loss is perfect for the character. Just have him grow back the stashe from Hot Fuzz and we are good to go.

Realistically, does the idea of a Butler still exist? In suit, yes sir, no sir, three bags full sir?

I'd much rather they go with the story that Thomas Wayne hired a friend, with a military background to 'look' after the family whilst he is away and to also be in charge of security, drivers, food etc etc - general father figure.

They get murdered, he automatically get's custody.

I just can't see a Butler being hired in the early 80's and they have that 'special' bond to make him god parent/next of kin - it's a different world than when Batman was created.

I want Alfred to wear a casual suit, no penguin suit with tails - i wanna see him old and tired, but knows his waya round a car (bat mobile) stealth and recce (bat cave ops) but also can lay a delightful afernoon tea - butler duties.

If we're talking left field choices, I'd go with James Cromwell. He's already shown he can do a English Accent in The Queen , and he's also got the dry humor and care taker part, yet you could also believe the guy was a bad ass in a prior life.

I'm liking that. He can obviously be bad ass....but from Babe, he's also gentle and fatherly (even if it was a pig )

this one photo shows me that Ben Affleck will work as Bruce Wayne, a little rich kid, that the public assume is spoilt beyond belief, he is lost, that's all... he is guided by the exec's at wayne enterprises, all wanting a piece.. when all said and done, he has alfred in his life....
