I didn't really like TASM but I'm still hopeful about this one. I like Orci and Kurtzman's writing style personally so I think that should be interesting and those new lenses are sexy as heck.

I'm not going to judge this movie (we barely know much about it) based on my experience with the last one.
That's my exact feeling as well.
just asking, what are the things you would like to keep for the sequel?

Ok, I'm not quoting more posts responding to my initial negativity that can be countered later, did you all forget how someone hates something for a while then love it after seeing the full product? Or the other way around? I sure have

And pfft, I didn't have much confidence in the first Avengers after hearing Whedon is behind it, his work on Buffy became unbearable most of season 2 and after season 4

I still don't see how you can form an opinion this early on when we literally know next to nothing about it.

I'd like it if TASM2 had the prom in it, and Peter ended up disappointing Gwen because he had to miss it to take down a villain. Peter swinging and moving around the city in his Tuxedo seems awesome in my head. Maybe Pete could make it in time for the last dance.

Reminds me of TSSM episode 7 when Peter went to his prom and had to leave and fight GG.

Bummer, i quite liked his photography. Especially the way he would light Spider-man with harsh light from behind. It worked beautifully in tandem with his suit.

I don't think that would work because Gwen knows he is Spider-Man and it would just make Gwen look like a complete *****.

"What? You decided to go save a few innocent lives as opposed to dancing with me to my favorite song? How DARE you?"

the DP is gone and James Horner is not yet confirmed be coming back.

I checked IMDB to compare the crew from TASM with TASM 2, and the nearly all of the main people (costume designer, DP, etc.) have been replaced.

They now have the DP from Star Trek and Star Trek Into Darkness

Which is a pretty awesome trade-off if you ask me.

Yeah, something like that would be fantastic.

Right, but the prom would probably be important to Gwen, and that wouldn't be the only time he's had to run off like that. She'll be fed up at that point and won't force Peter to choose her or Spider-Man, so she'll just end it.

If Gwen was actually in love with Peter though she wouldn't do that... and if she isn't really in love with Peter, she wouldn't want him to break his promise to her father... Gwen's a smart girl.

Yeah. I was shocked to see how many crew members from the original had been replaced.

I agree on the DP though. Its an amazing trade off if you ask me. He's a great DP and knows how to film scenes written by Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, the writers of the Abrams Star Trek films.

Visually, this film is gonna be different.

In what way would you say?

IDK.

While it may not be major, I just think that with a new cinematographer on board and a new costume designer, its gonna look different than the previous.

For instance, SM1 and SM2 had different cinematographers and there's not denying how different those looked.

Like any girl, Gwen needs attention in a relationship. You can love someone all you want, but if you feel they aren't there to return your love then you get lonely and sad. Gwen is selfless, and wouldn't want to hold Peter back by having him juggling everything in his life, including tending to her needs as a girlfriend. Happens to people everyday, and is perfectly typical in relationships where one partner is barely there for the other. Not to mention that Gwen worries about Peter every time he's out there as Spider-Man, and after losing her father in the line of duty, she'd also be leaving him to keep her own sanity.

Seriously some people are just ridiculous. Must be nice to live life so negatively and be so judgemental of everything.

Well,Few things like what Foxx said are confusing but giving it 6/10 so early is ridiculous

Everything about the movie (other than the general plot synopsis) is rather vague.

Someone has given a score for a movie that has barely started filming and where details are few and far between? Definitely odd.

Wow, his own mom forgets his birthday... That's messed up.
