Leatherface is now confirmed in the movie.

This raw footage from the Rochester filming... [YT]gfqchkXh4Ak[/YT]

...is awesome!!! Reminds me to the TDK tunnel scene (with the garbage trucks and the Tumbler).

What a great scene besides two of the most pointless things in the trilogy: that awful extra sitting next to Gordon(who makes Foley look awesome, lol) and GCPD deciding to go unto the lower street

But, anyways...I'm looking forward in seeing this chase scene. Wonder how long it'll be in the film?

told ya it wasn't the tasm1 suit.

ps. the number of cop cars is nuts lol.

I thought it was going to be Ryan Gosling under that mask...

Yeah...that scene with all the cop cars really left a bad taste in my mouth in TDKR. It just seemed so impractical and a little over the top. Like I said, didn't like it at all. Not really a fan of Marc Webb doing the same thing.

HOWEVER

Thinking more about it, like you guys have said, I will be okay with the execution as long as Rhino is the reason all these cops are converging on a singular point. The toe truck seems to have caught the OsCorp car and is taking it away. So yeah, someone trying to steal Rhino would be awesome!

holy s*** !!

there was no one in the car that got smashed, but i guess the truck wasn't supposed to hit it that dead on.

I hope they got something good out of it D: lol

Even though it looks like the explosions weren't in line with the crash.

i may be wrong but i figured the explosions = the car being detached from the car that is towing it

After seeing Iron Man 3, which I liked, I'm ready for some Spider-Man action. IM3 was great in its own way, but I need my real superhero needs scratched by Spidey.

hopefully he doesn't just dodge and shoot webs this time around.

just skimmed over a negative review for star trek into darkness. they mention the script as a weak point, which is worrying for spidey (written by the same guys)

looks like spidey might clothesline the truck with a big ol' web. *obama face*

Well it's not really a fair comparison. First off their were a couple more writers then just them, and also Star Trek is a completely different beast from Spider-Man. It's not only a team movie, but one in space, in a universe that can become very convulated very quickly, while Spider-Man is (literally) more down to earth, and doesn't have to worry about time travel, futuristic technology, alternate dimensions, alien planets, aliens etc.

yeah but at the end of the day it is written by the same guys. i believe if you're a talented screenwriter, it will show in all your work, and vice versa. it's not so much in the detail but more to do with more fundamental things like character development, logical consistencies, character motivations, etc etc.

i'm not knocking tasm2; the star trek review was one guy's opinion. alas, i will be watching star trek partly to see how good the script is.

but yea, was just a tidbit i thought i'd share seeing as the forum was/is dead

I feel pretty good about the script, I mean almost every actor that's attached to this movie praised the script, and I don't think that ever even happen with TASM, unless they were paid off to say it, but even Dehaan praised the script when he was being interviewed for another movie, so who knows. Considering Marc Webb is directing I'm sure that has some impact on ehats's focused most on, which in Marc's case will probably always be the characters.

Not surprised. The movie is meant more for non-Star Trek fans than it is for the Star Trek fans. And by that I mean the clueless audience that just watches action movies like Transformers and such. Theres so many things wrong with every trailer I see about Star Trek 2, I can't even begin to start. Theres even a chase scene that looks like it belongs in Star Wars, not Trek. Its just going to be a fun mindless action flick. With Star Treks name on it. I can't express just how wrong that is.

As for Orci and Kurtzman, I think they're very sub par at writing stories. But great at coming up with action scenes and just keeping the movie at a fast pace. They know what kind of action audiences love. If their involvement did anything for TASM2, I hope its the addition to action and such and not too much screenwriting, since they did a re-write and not the whole script.
