regardless her being cut will not have a major impact or even slight impact on the film if her role as mj was really as short as they say it was

Yeah, I think people are overreacting as they always do. We had one scene of Peter and MJ talking by his garage, one scene of MJ talking to Gwen, and a reaction shot of MJ witnessing a car wreckage. Big deal.

I don't think the movie was supposed to have Green Goblin or the death of Gwen Stacy.

Yeah, I think people are overreacting as they always do. We had one scene of Peter and MJ talking by his garage, one scene of MJ talking to Gwen, and a reaction shot of MJ witnessing a car wreckage. Big deal.

i think her role was an introduction, which makes you wonder what was planned for next film and why they felt they could cut her stuff

if gwen died and mj was already introduced they could just have a few scenes without the introduction where she is there for peter, but to introduce her into the story where peter is wreck... i dunno if that would have the impact it should, i dunno how it would work

maybe orignally they were supposed to have gwen die and mj make small appearances but didnt want to rush the relation ship with gwen and peter and gwens death so infact she will die in the 3rd movie and mj wil be saved for then so that also means maybe that GG will not have an apearance but norman will.... as for after credit scenes thats any ones guess

Gwen will probably die by the end of the third movie, and I'm sure MJ will be introduced earlier in in that film before Gwen kicks the bucket.

I don't think Webb ever intended for MJ to be in the film; it could be just a ruse to funnel discussion on the death of Gwen Stacy...like Gwen wearing the same outfit from the comics. Bate & Switch, distracting from the real story, steering the belief in something, that was never going to happen. She fulfilled her role adamantly.

Gwen is not dying in this film....certainly not by Electro, nor Rhino. LoL.

yes which would cancel my theory and GG will make an appearance after the credits which would lead to an all out battle with GG and spidey in tasm 3 leading to gwens demise and the formation of every villian that has been put in ravencroft also just had a thought that GG would be causing havok and spidey would be foiling his plans and then GG finds out who spidey really ends and goes for the heart by killing gwen.... which would lead to an after credits scene of ravencoft once again and somthing goes on there

But I am a firm believer in everything happening for a specific reason. MJ only appeared in a few scenes and I wouldn’t trade the experience of working with Andrew and Emma for three days on set for the world. Based on the proposed plot, I completely understand the need for holding off on introducing MJ until the next film.

We saw two full scenes on YouTube and they appeared to be all filler type scenes, just an intro to MJ... I think people are overreacting, it's not like they decided to cut Harry's scenes out at the last minute, now I would freak out if that was the case. Yes, it's unfortunate that time & money was wasted, but there's deleted scenes in EVERY movie, it happens all the time.

A red herring is a distraction. It is defined as, "something intended to divert attention from the real problem or matter at hand; a misleading clue."

So if we all see Gwen wearing those clothes, and she doesn't die, then that is indeed a red herring as well. Not saying that is what Marc Webb is doing, just saying it is a theory.

How much money do you think was really wasted though? Not much, based on the scenes she was in.

They have to reshoot her scenes if they're bringing her back to TASM 3. You can't expect MJ gets to know Peter with a different haircut and skinny jeans than other scenes!

Will Wheaton was supposed to reprise his role as Wesley Crusher in Star Trek Nemesis but his role was cut during editing and only one long distance scene of him was left which could only be seen in widescreen prints of the film.

Also in DD wasn't there a whole plotline cut from the film with MM defending someone.

These deleted scenes happen all the time with characters lost.
