Less defensive? Despite his super human strength, he was going up against a 9 ft. Lizard that could shot put cars and volcano himself out of school bathroom foundations.

This kinetic outcome you were hoping for isn't physically realistic. A 180 lbs. teenager, no matter how strong, would never send a 9 ft. (anywhere from 400-600lbs. of muscale) Lizard off his feet. It would have looked weird.

:spidey::liz:

spider-man can lift cars over his head so i disagree. he is strong despite his physical appearance.

if you think spider-man was strong enough in the tasm1, whatever. either he wasn't, or they made the lizard too strong.

didn't want to get into a debate on this kind of stuff sigh. wanted to start a discussion about the action scenes in 2. power level arguments seldom go anywhere good.

Yeah he is strong, but they are keeping the physics real :o

i think the idea was to have lizard be bulky and strong and spidey is acrobatic and flexible

i think its what makes spider-man a different sort of super hero, and i personally liked spidey trolling the lizard

They wanted the Lizard to be way stronger than Spidey, at the same time Spidey was still figuring out his powers/strength.
I'm 100% sure Spidey will be pretty BA in the sequel in terms of all that.

Hey guys turns out that pic of the old suit was just that an old picture.
The stunt man who posted it went to Twitter to confirm this.

So looks like no old suit, which personally I'm fine with.
Yes seein the old one plus the new suit would have been great
continuity, but it won't make a difference in the films quality for me either.

^ I didn't care much for a transition from old to new suit. I'm a fan of the new suit so far, and it's grown on me, so I wanna see a full movie of just the new suit.

Why do you need to see it, we know from the first movie that Peter makes his own suit. Is it really that hard for people's brain to compute that he simply changed the look/design?

Day 35. Cal McCrystal and the Oscorp Security Team. They'll make you laugh... and then they'll literally kill you.

All Oscorp/Ravencroft stuff lately..
Where's the Spidey/Peter, Harry, Electro/Max, etc. stuff?? I guess later down the line..

Always nice to see actors goofing off on set. Nothing worse than starring in a 200 million movie and not have some fun while doing it.

I guess Oscorp has created these prison cells for super villains for Ravencroft. With that many cells I wonder if were gonna see villains from other movies in there.

^
Yeah they are,you can even see the guards.

I don't think those are prison cells. You know, even at a big company like OSCORP would be, there are security guards. I guess they're standing in front of bureaus or labs.

Not to offend but myself I thought the fighting scenes in TASM looked like crap. The Lizard just didn't seem threatining at-all, on top of that there was barely any action or actual fighting scenes. It makes me wonder where all that money actually went, the budget was a gand total of 230 million dollars. I mean the Avengers was produced on less on a 220 million dollar budget and it looks 10 times better than TASM. What, was it the swinging, was it the shots of New York, was it the crappy looking Lizard that racked the budget up? I watched King Kong the other day, (produced on 207 million dollars) the effects in that are dazzling. It's a 3 hour movie with tons of action and CGI creatures not forgetting King Kong himself, great film in CGI effects and they obviously used the budget well and to great effect. If I had to guess TASM's cost from watching it I would say it was $130 million.

Let's hope that the Electro fight will be one to remember unlike the utterly forgettable SM v Lizard ones were.

I disgaree. I thought their was plenty of money on screen. Avengers definitely had more, no arguing that. I enjoyed the Lizard fights personally. That said, I wouldnt mind more action at all.

also King Kong was a 2 hr movie, when you get down to it because that first hour is them on that frickin boat...

I do however think that WETA (King Kong/Lord of the Rings) should be handling all Spider-Man films.

I dont, i would take ILM over them anyday. That said Imageworks did great,to me there was nothing wrong with any of the cgi in ASM as opposed to the last trilogy. Also Ill never forgive Weta for that brontosaurus stampede scene which was one of the worst things committed to film.
