I haven't seen those, but I read an interview with Garfield from last September where he was obviously upset with several cut scenes from the movie.

I won't miss him the way that I will Stone and Foxx, but I feel sorry for him that things didn't go as planned. I'm sure he'll miss being Peter.

Really hope we eventually get to see the scenes, but something tells me that we won't. We know they have more (the alternate Gwen deaths, the MJ scenes, etc.) so I just really don't understand why they wouldn't include all of them on the deleted scenes for the home release.

Where did you hear that rumor? I would love a director's cut for sm1, sm3 and asm2. Sm1 I just want to see what was taken out. Sm3 is by far the worst of the spider man movies to me and would have probly been improved a lot with a Directors cut and asm2 is by far the second best sm movie to me and I think most of the movies problems would be either elimatied or greatly reduced with a Director's cut.

Hadn't heard that rumor, but I doubt it. I'd like to keep my hopes up, but it's getting harder for me to do nowadays.

AN additional side note: Dane was my favorite new addition to a 2014 Marvel related film for the 2014 films...I know some like some guy the Winter Soldier...some liked the Future Sentinel X-Fodder from DOFP (love the X-Films, but that's all the characters were...don't tell my fellow X-Boarder's I said that... )...but Harry...he was my favorite character, too bad we won't get to see this iteration of the character again...

I haven't read through all of the emails (because I haven't had the time or energy to plow through all of them, and I probably never will), but here's what I've heard about them:

Andrew Garfield was ditching some very important meetings with Sony and whatnot at the very last minute. He pretty much tainted his professional relationship with the company, and many people interpret that as him finding his way out of doing any more of these Spider-Man movies. He burned a bridge.
