TASM series was just awesome. They will always hold a special place on my shelf and I will never stop watching them.

The true tragedy of the TASM franchise is that there was potential in it. The first film, while not the best, was still pretty good. And TASM-2 had some things that I liked but ultimately was bad. There was potential here, but it was squandered by a studio that didn't let the talent of the actors or the director come out and cared mostly about making money and catching up with Marvel

There will never be a better spiderman/Peter than this guy, I would be delightfully surprised if the reboot does a better job than what Andrew did.
I'm sure Marvel, despite what some on here believe, are going to have a huge hand in casting the next Spider-Man, I trust their judgment on casting leads. And I'm not some blind fan of everything Marvel does but their lead casting has been fantastic.
This may be the only Spider-man film to handle the death of Gwen Stacy. Maybe not to everyone's satisfaction , but it does have that distinction for the time being.
Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone deserved a better film. Although they have several issues I still wanted to see ASM 3. This series was much more salvageable than Raimi's trilogy.
Agreed.Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone deserved a better film. Although they have several issues I still wanted to see ASM 3.
Garfield could have been great with a proper script and good writing.
If they have one strength, it's choosing great leads. Evans, Downey Jr, Hemsworth...
I'm not worried either.
Andrew and Emma were placed in the SM franchise at the wrong time. Though they ended up falling in love with each other because of these movies so I guess it wasn't totally for nothing.
Man o Man... if we could have gotten Garfield's Peter and Emma's Gwen in the Raimi films... that tone would have just been too perfect. And then saving Mj for the tonality of the Webb franchise
The only thing that bums me out is that the story didn't get to play out to it's end. Audiences are sticklers for that, go to any social media site, and people already are against the idea of another reboot for this very reason (they'll get over it eventually lol).
